I'm staying away from this topic after this post, but I'll put my opinion in.

I prefer physical, but I'm okay with buying digital as long as it's (much) cheaper than retail price. I have plenty of digital games on my PS3, but they're all cheap, short digital-only games or PS1 Classics.

Although I feel like I should add that if I actually played PC games, I would probably stick to Steam downloads. For some reason I don't see myself ever buying physical PC games.

Vic Ireland pointed out during the Class of Heroes 2 Kickstarter that it's pretty impractical to bundle a digital copy with a physical release. He said you'd have to pay royalties to the platform holder twice.

Impractical, yet not impossible. I think we've seen that happen before, just not for a Sony platform.

Def physical, I like having a game case.

I prefer physical, but am trending towards digital. Manuals and boxes just aren't as appealing to me as they used to be. UMD's are noisy, suck up battery life and don't transfer over to the Vita.

I'll give a bit of my take here.

I admit, the PSVita boxes are rather unappealing to me with no manuals and such, though I buy 'em to save on memory space (due to memory cards prices shooting through the roof) and it seems UMDs are gonna be left behind really soon with the Vita out and all... well, maybe at least for the west since in Japan it's still selling like hotcakes.

Did something happen on this forum before? It seems as if some of you are almost well...scared to talk about this debate?

(I don't mean any offense btw, I'm just curious)

Well, there was a great physical vs digital debate way back when on this forum, though I wasn't a member back then, I think scars still remain and quite a few long-time members just...left and are never coming back.

So I guess a lot of users here don't really want to bring up this particular issue since all it does is create hard feelings with everyone just spinning their wheels.

I see, thanks for telling me =P

I prefer physical, but I'm not opposed to digital by any means.

Well, for me, I usually tend to get physicals whenever I can, though I certainly won't pass up on a great game if it's digital only.

Though these days I usually go digital for my PC gaming needs.
