    About XBOX360 controller support.

Its odd, everywhere I look everyone seems to be able to use the controller with Ys Origin, however me and my cousin can't seem to get it to work. I have a gamepad that works perfectly with it and Oath in Felghana, but when I tried the XBOX360 controller (which is the only thing my cousin has and she's trying to get it to work) in order to guide my cousin through it the game just...doesn't seem to recognize it all. I try running the config and set buttons and nothing...

Am I missing something or is my situation and hers just weird?

Are you sure Windows installed the drivers properly? That's about the only thing I can think of, the game supports XInput natively so it should just work.

Windows XP is the only Windows that requires you to download a driver for the controller. I'm pretty sure Vista and 7 has it.

Are you using a wired controller? Plugging a wireless controller into a PC with the quick charge cable will not work. If you want to use a wireless controller you will need one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Wirel...9011813&sr=8-7

After some more looking, it appears the item linked above is a third-party product that some people have issues getting to work. If you want the official Microsoft receiver, it is only sold bundled with a wireless controller. http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Xbox...9018090&sr=1-1

That must be it...we both have windows 7. I have a wireless controller that I was using with a charge cable because the battery is pretty much dead. I guess that means that she needs to get one of those or a wired controller.

    Thanks a bunch guys.

Get the wired ones, they are much cheaper unless you can get the wireless receiver for cheap on eBay.

I use an XBOX 360 wireless pad too, and works great.
Maybe the problem is that the pad MUST be ON BEFORE the you start the game or the game doesnt recognize the controller. If the game is running and the controllers is still off, just turn on the controller and restart the game.
If the driver is install, the game automaticaly recognize the pad.
