    NIS America to publish Way of The Samurai 4 in Europe

    An American company publishing a Japanese game in European territories. That makes perfect sense. Anyway, what's great about this release is that NISA is offering the game in retail form.

    Frankly, I don't mind that both NISA and Atlus have overtaken Xseed simply because Xseed have maintained their integrity by not releasing Naruto/Bleach games to get them through the day.

    I just saw that piece of news on Facebook and came here to make a comment. Wasn't Rising Star supposed to handle the european release? Couldn't NISA have handled the game on both territories?

    Yeah, but what about poor Xseed? I want them to succeed otherwise we'll never see Trails in The Sky SC or TC for that matter.

    This is the year of publishers' swap. Ignition is out, Atlus is in; Rising Star is out, NISA is in; XSEED is out, Rising Star is in; and poor old GHK will never see the light of the day.

    This wouldn't be so odd if it weren't for the fact it's NIS AMERICA. I have to wonder what happened to Rising Star Games too. Placing my bets that we'll never hear a specific reason due to the shroud of secrecy that surrounds the industry!

    The sad truth :/ I too, am confused of the Rising Star Way of the Samurai thing. I know it's hindsight, but I guess in the end it probably would've made more sense for Nisa to publish it in both territories. I wonder if they would've been able to do a physical copy in North America? Assuming they are still doing on in Europe, though...
    @_@ so confusing!!

    Not to mention that NISA relies on Tecmo Koei for european distribution.

    The ad says they are doing a physical release there. As far as a hypothetical release here goes, it's hard to say. NISA does physical releases for some games that seem pretty obscure to me, but they also have a lot of announcements of late that are supposed to be DD. Just because something's getting a physical release in Europe doesn't mean that it'd work here. Heck, there's no guarantee that NISA isn't going to lose money hand over fist with a physical release in Europe (which MIGHT be the reason why Rising Star Games pulled out). It's always entirely possible that NISA pulled an Ignition and took it from Rising Star Games too. Aaaaah, so many possibilities, so comparably few chances we'll ever get to know...

    I would be happy to get a physical release, but personally It really does not bother me, wether it is a digital download from xseed or a physical copy from another company as long as I can play the game I am a happy person.

    Well, this is some very odd and interesting news.
    Hope will never die because in our times of despair, hope is the warmth that we all have that we can share. No matter how much life seems to hurt, stand up and never give up. Fight it and come back VICTORIOUS!!!

    Whenever our souls feel in pain. We intertwine and make a miracle. The miracle that is our love.
