I definitely recommend it. If you enjoyed Pikmin (Nintendo game for GC + Wii) then you'll adore LKS.

The humor is nice, the music is epic and the customization is pure sweetness

The only issue I have is that the combat controls weren't as tight as the Pikmin games. The player could only send out units in a straight line, where Pikmin allowed the player more freedom in deployment.

Just echoing everyone else, but yes absolutely this game is worth it. Lots of charm, cuteness, unexpected story progression, customization, etc. etc. It's a complete and utter shame more people didn't fall head over heels in love with it when it was released, personally it's one of my top favorite games for the Wii. Hilariously fun and an overall phenomenal game experience.
