Orgarhythm has a release date for Japan!

Acquire announced today an August 9 release date for Orgarhythm, a PlayStation Vita rhythm/strategy fusion from Tak Hirai, an independent developer who previously worked on games like Shenmue and Space Channel 5. The game will be priced ¥3,990 at retail. Its download version is currently price TBA.

E3 attendees will get an early sampling of Orgarhythm next week. The game will be playable in Sony Computer Entertainment America's booth.

I still can't believe there'll be a physical print for this game in Japan.

The game is still listed for August 9th in Japan, so we'll have Famitsu/Dengeki scores and first-week sales numbers soon. Is it weird that I must be the only one here excited for this game?

Ragnarok Odyssey has people got talking, but that's because Orgarhythm barely had any press after E3. We'll see if we get more information coming on the next couple of weeks.

I'm actually pretty excited for this game myself, I think it looks very unique and a lot of fun! Unfortunately I don't have a Vita just yet, but I'll be getting a copy (or downloading one?) as soon as I'm able to get one. :P

And the game is now out in Japan. It's still somewhat of an accomplishment that Acquire managed to launch the game still without people knowing how it plays.

This has probably been posted, but this is one of the best (and least informative) game trailers that I've seen in a while.


I got my hands on Orgarhythm this week for work, and I can recommend that anyone who likes addicting rhythm games should keep their eye on it. I had to stop playing because I was frustrated (having no natural rhythm -- you should see me try to dance), but I've been itching to go back to it ever since. Definitely worth at least a look.

Has anyone heard if the Japanese version has an English option? I'm not importing it or anything but it would be interesting to know if the localization is already done since XSEED seems to have some fingers in the Japanese version as well?

I don't think it will, since it's an Acquire/XSEED game and one wouldn't try to interfere with the release of the other.
