I think it's nice that the sequel will be released on the same platforms as the previous game, maybe it did good for the developer to release on both systems instead of just one, or maybe the PS Vita.

I'd view it as a way to save on costs. Apparently the first game was an obvious PSP port on 3DS, by sharing the same platforms they can reuse assets and more without looking too out of place.

Consider me psyched, this game should do well for XSEED and hopefully we'll get the sequel at some point!

Plus, PSP/3DS is a good choice because they're not only taking advantage of a system that is still domestically thriving, but they also get the benefit of getting themselves "out there" in the next-gen handheld arena, which helps globally too [3DS is doing better than PSP in most territories outside of Japan]

The fact that it warranted a sequel sort of assures me of at least some degree of quality in this one. :] In such a volatile gaming climate as we have nowadays, a new IP that thrived enough to get a sequel is enough to foster some interest in me!

Crossing my fingers hoping for the best, but I guess I'll know how optimistic or not to be after this is available for purchase and I get to play it. Of course, just because I like the game doesn't mean it was a great seller either...

Looking over those screens... it looks like the second game will mostly feature the same sort of dungeons and mechanics but different characters and a new story? Which could be a good thing, the mechanics of the first one we're waiting on look pretty solid and enjoyable as is, so no need to mess with a good thing once it gets going.

Oh... and bad BACONBACONBACON dragon girls and cute shy little vampire girls? What's not to like about that? One more game my wife is going to want to watch me play.

My question then is as poses; if Unchained Blades does well now or at least relatively well, will we be getting the sequel as well? I'm not sure how localizing works but since they have a relationship with the company doing the first one now I'm assuming procuring the second wouldn't be that difficult. Then again, like I said, I'm not that sure how localizing works and probably hoping for the best.

I just REALLY want to play as a dragon girl! I mean how often do you find dragon girls, really? The only relatively popular one I can think of is Mink from Dragon Half. A less popular one is the heroine from the anime Capricorn.
