You're kinda confusing me here...by 'person' you mean Tom? Well, sure he communicates with 5pb I guess though what are we talking about here again?

So you think that the japanese do horror better than the people in western style countries? I think western style horror is really scary. What about movies like Nightmere On Elm St, or The Ring, or saw? In those movies, there is the element of suspense, and surprise. How do the japanese do it better than the Americans or the British? Have you even looked at the game F.E.A.R?

Its really just my opinion. In my perspective I see the American as rather too much action not enough running away and trying to survive. The British are more on the magical side since they probably include a magician or some kind of magical item. I really like the Japanese in the sense that they include ghosts in their horror movies and such with a very good amount of story later on. I just think that Japanese gets you on a psychological level kinda like Saw made by the Americans.

In a recap I just think that American ones are too actiony and I haven't really seen many British ones.

Just fyi Spaceshotx7, XSeed is a localization publisher, ie. they dont actually develop new games, they just take ones that already exist in Japan and translate them from Japanese into Enlish and release them in the US. Tom is a localization specialist at XSeed, and has been at least partially responsible for every English translation XSeed has done in the last few years.

I would be annoyed if it did.

You realize The Ring was a (reasonably faithful) remake of a Japanese horror movie, right?

Anyway, to address a couple questions posed:

Rpgfan: I'm not necessarily stating that we don't have the game now. I just can't say either way. Even if we didn't, though, that doesn't imply AT ALL that the game will never be released here. We're still completely willing to work on PSP titles, and will be for quite some time. The system and its library are far from dead!

Spaceshot: Yeah, that's pretty much why the first game wasn't dubbed. Rarely are we even ABLE to use the original Japanese voices in our games due to international licensing issues, so when we can, I think it's a bit of a victory for us. And Corpse Party was awesome because 5pb gave us full license for absolutely everything! Under such perfect circumstances, it would be a real shame NOT to include that incredible Japanese acting. Because I think we can all agree, Corpse Party's voice cast is absolutely top notch.

Tom, do you mind keeping all the Book of Shadows discussion on a single topic, or do we really need SEVEN different topics about the same game?

I vote 10, just so we have a nice even number.
