Well... my reasons for wanting Book of Shadows to come here is to tie up all the loose ends. I won't be able to rest in peace until someone gets a happy ending. This game is probably going to raise more questions but still! You made us this way Xseed, take responsibility!

I have to say I also want all loose ends to be tied up as well. I want a happy ending for all of them especially the side characters, extras, and Yoshiki.
Hope will never die because in our times of despair, hope is the warmth that we all have that we can share. No matter how much life seems to hurt, stand up and never give up. Fight it and come back VICTORIOUS!!!

Whenever our souls feel in pain. We intertwine and make a miracle. The miracle that is our love.

A happy ending for ALL of them... That's sort of impossible, as a "Happy ending" for Kizami would be having everyone else dead.

Actually this might be spoilerish but Kizami didn't really doom everyone from Byakudan. I'm trying to make a double entendre here if anyone can find the double meaning somewhere.

I'm know I'm late to the party and this might have already been said but I'm sure the Japanese voice acting took a VERY long time to do. I know they were aiming for the "3d sound" aspect to the game. Whether they did while recording or after the recording I'm sure something like a sound team needed to put in the extra work for that.

I have staff anime conventions before and talked to a lot of the voice actors and their job isn't easy. It isn't as easy as just translating a game (which is hard in its own way). It is not that English voice acting is BAD now a days anyway. I know a lot of them put the time and a lot of effort into making the dubs sound really good. I just think for such a small name there wouldn't be the funding (and I know this was mentioned).

I know I simply prefer Japanese because listening it helps me improve my listening skills and it makes me feel good that I can understand a second way to speak.

    Late post is late.

Like the other said, it's for the best to keep the original VA, I don't see any problem with the current VA.
I'd like an English release for BoS, I'm currently at Chapter 2 and still don't understand a thing

    [Spoilers]
Chapter 2: Mayu now has a chance to live. She lives. Yoshiki and Ayumi join her and Nana, two that were originally fated to die, in a slightly alternate take on Chapter 2 Blood Covered. Screw up, Mayu suddenly inexplicably explodes. Do everything right, and Mayu lives....until her 'bruise' covers up her entire stomach and threatens to explode, like Nana's 'bruise' which makes her legs suddenly explode off her body. Sachiko taunts Mayu by saying she 'died much too quickly, that she needs to experience true suffering and appreciate the pain of her death' and has, as the game describes, 'the child spirits move their hands around her slowly opening stomach, as if cleaning a window', which made me belt out 'AT THE CARWASH, YEAH!' when I first read it.
Favorite line in the chapter? "What the hell? I used a key to GET a key?"

Congratulations, you now know everything important that happened in Chapter 2.

Didn't Tom already say something back when Corpse Party released? They decided to stick with just the Jp VA because so much would be lost in the transition from Japanese to English or something along those lines?

Here are some quotes from Wyrdwad concerning dubbing Corpse Party:

"And yeah, if we'd had to dub this game, it would have been disastrous. I mean, we'd have done the best job we possibly could've, but there's NO WAY we could match the amazing quality of the original Japanese. This game's voice-acting is just incredible."

"This is pretty high-quality acting, though. And a good chunk of it consists of screams and cries and death wails, which would be high-pitched in ANY language — and probably wouldn’t sound anywhere near as convincing when dubbed, unless we were to get, like, the BEST ACTORS EVER.

I think the Japanese voices will grow on you rather quickly as you play. I honestly can’t even imagine this game with any other voice actors in it, at this point."

"Yep, this game is FULLY-VOICED, so dubbing it would've been monumentally time-consuming and expensive... and would've probably been pretty terrible, too, as there's a lot of screaming, crying and general emoting that would be VERY hard to duplicate without top-tier actors and a very long, very careful recording process.

The Japanese voices, on the other hand, are *amazing*. Seriously, this game's got some really astounding acting in it."
