    Yoshikazu classification

Alright, so over at the CPwiki, a lot of folks are wondering whether or not Yoshikazu should be called a ghost, or not. He seems far more corporeal than the other ghosts, which is why we don't have a definitive answer. Would "Ghoul" be a better term?

Well, he's a ghost of a dead man, you can see his corpse near the ending. But he seems a bit strange, his eyes are weird and about that "GUAAAAAAAAAAAA" he makes, I think his tongue has been removed as well, by Sachiko.

In one of the extra chapters, you can see him with Sachiko, but he's not that weird. Anyway, he's so strange!!

I'm not sure maybe "Wandering spirit" would work? He technically has to do Sachiko bidding isn't there a classification for ghosts like that? Ghosts trapped by their past sins or controlled by other ghosts?
Hope will never die because in our times of despair, hope is the warmth that we all have that we can share. No matter how much life seems to hurt, stand up and never give up. Fight it and come back VICTORIOUS!!!

I would perfer the word "Shibito"
If you played Siren: Blood Curse New Translation, you would understand what I am talking about.
I guess he would be called Shibito because he acts like a human and he isnt that much of a ghost. HE IS DEAD. but he pretty much is not a ghost. Shibito must be the closest you can get to it. Even now I think about it, it cant be the right word.

Shibito is a bit confusing and alot of people think its a zombie thing but no.
Its the spirits of dead people, and they are like when they once were, can hear, see, speak etc.
So when they arise they are going back to their normal lives watching TV etc. but would kill the player. (in siren blood curse)
It is thought to be a zombie because of the spirits gone back into their body and they use that body. They are more foolish like. They act all zombie like as in walking. THEY CANT DIE. because of a siren awaking them.
Anyways I guess you got the picture now, so I shouldnt go in about Siren Blood Curse as this is the wrong thread.

But wouldnt you agree that the closest to call him is a Shibito?

I kind of wonder if he was taken over by the Darkening, too.

When we first saw Naho and she explained that she was dead, I was confused as to why she seemed corporeal and wasn't a spirit like the rest.

Obviously, this was explained as the fact that she had been taken over by the Darkening which was keeping her from exorcism or whatever you call it.

What if this is the same reason that Yoshikazu seems physically there, and not spiritually?

    Zombie.: D

It doesn't seem that he HAS to do Sachiko's bidding. It's more like she treats him nice on occasion if he does, and he is desperate for that.

I posted this theory on GameFAQs, but feel it bears mentioning here as well. It's a pretty disturbing theory, but it seems to fit perfectly with the game. Bear in mind, though, that this is just MY PERSONAL THEORY. It's not official canon or anything.

***SPOILERS FOR BOTH CORPSE PARTY GAMES***

Yoshikazu's actions definitely imply that he doesn't want to kill Yuka. He, in fact, seems to act of his own volition, in defiance of Sachiko's edicts, to SAVE Yuka from Kizami, and only begins to chase Yuka again because Sachiko insisted he do so.

Now, Sachiko definitely hates Yuka -- between her treatment of Yuka in chapter 6 of BoS, and her slapping Yuka around in chapter 5 of the first game, that's pretty obvious -- and I think both the reason Sachiko hates her, and the reason Yoshikazu pities her, is the same.

Namely, it's Yoshikazu. He, uh... I think he likes little girls.

I base this largely off of the fact that one of the extra chapters in the first game implies that Yoshikazu helped Sachiko kidnap Yuki, Tokiko and Ryou because he was promised some sort of "reward" for it -- and the way Sachiko said this seemed to imply it might have been "that" kind of reward.

Yuka, being a 14-year-old girl who acts even younger than Sachiko, may simply have appealed to Yoshikazu's innate lolicon tendencies, which led to him defending her... but also led to Sachiko getting pissed at her. In general, Sachiko wants Yuka dead because she's kind of threatened by her -- Yuka's the only person who can "challenge her authority," so to speak.

It's kind of messed up, but it seems a perfect explanation for the events we witness in both games.

    I seen it differently.

Yoshie cursed the Yanagihori line wich made Yoshikazu more suceptible to Sachiko's influence, but overall reduced his mind to that of a simplistic child. The reward could have been anything from a piece of candy to a pat on the head and he would have done her bidding,I think.

Innately I think he liked children, not as physically, but genuine, like that of an unperverted father,I guess. Thats why he did not want to kill Yuka. She was young enough and innocent enough, she represented everything he loved about kids.

Though Tom's version fits in better with the CP line of thinking and makes it more disturbing.

    I like Tom's version better.

And are we seriously reviving this thread that I made in May of last year?

I don't really know about that.

Sachiko kind of tortures everyone, and honestly, Yuka gets off a lot easier than most of her victims. If anything, it seems like she might actually LIKE Yuka more than most of the people she kills, given her words about sparing her from her fate. Now, I know that is probably a twisted desire, but still, it seems to give her a chance.

I do think Yoshikazu likes children, but I think that his illness has had a very poor effect on him mentally. He became someone kids feared, resulting in him clinging to Sachiko, who was a child who gave him love and affection. Looking at his father as well, it seems unlikely he got much of that growing up.
