Then XSEED would have to pay a MASSIVE license fee for all the voices since the record studios hold the rights to the VAs.
Not to mention a lot of these seiyuus are pretty famous so the costs would be higher than you could ever imagine.
So yeah, that could just bankrupt XSEED if they did.![]()

Let me just put it this way: Whenever we release a game with voice-acting, we always try to include dual voice. When we include Japanese only, it's because we weren't really able to dub the game's dialogue due to various concerns (most likely either contractual or financial). When we include English only, it's because we weren't able to use the Japanese voices due to various concerns (most likely either contractual or financial).
In other words, there are often situations beyond our control that force us to use either English-only or Japanese-only voices.
And as you might recall, Trails in the Sky was dub only.

Hey Tom, XSEED mentioned having already recorded voices for all three Trails games right?
Also, wonder how you guys managed to get Johnny Yong Bosch as Joshua...

Well removing the full voiced dialogue and limiting it to battle voices might not be too bad an idea, because you gotta admit the opinions on the Felghana dub and Lunar redub were very mixed.
