Really? I see new systems, batteries, chargers, etc. pretty much everywhere still. Especially if you shop online, they're not hard to find in any way.

And if a PSP game is released digitally, too, it should work on the Vita without any trouble, which makes it even more accessible...

Well yes, people still buy physical UMD copies, especially when XSeed and Atlus are giving us them sexy CEs with the big box and bonus goodies (I still don't know what to do with that Trails badge), but we are in a transitional period where I believe investing in UMD releases is a bigger financial gamble than producing a AAA Wii game. As for consumers, it's a concern whether they would buy a UMD copy when it won't be playable when they upgrade to a Vita (I myself sold my Duodecim and rebought it digitally on my Vita). And while we fans are really dying to have those mentioned falcom titles to be localized, I really wonder if there will be enough of us to create profits for such a gamble. As great as Nayuta could possibly be, will it be worth localizing for XSeed? At this point, Zero Evolution, a Vita port, would seem to be a better business decision, followed by the upcoming Celceta Sea of Trees.

But who knows? - XSeed might pull a Magic Knight Rayearth with Nayuta and Ao, not to mention Brandish, Vantage Master Portable, and Alternative Saga.
    IF they can afford it.

Exactly, but why do you think Falcom games will get physical releases in the first place? They didn't do most of Falcom "cute" titles so far on the PSP because retailers wouldn't stock up on the game, and that was two years ago.

Really? I'm still using a PSP 1000 that I bought shortly after launch and have had no problems what so ever. Its one of the most reliable systems I've ever owned.

The power supply is also pretty standard stuff, I know someone who lost theirs and was too cheap/lazy to buy another so they just used a routers power cord instead and it worked fine

Yea I should probably rephrase that; I meant that any Falcom titles from their popular series would get a physical release (ie. LoH/Trails and Ys games). Games in Falcoms lineup with lesser heritages are a different story.

Whoa! Whoa! This is so much coincidence you mention this because I was just about to post.... I lost my AC adaptor and power cord. I haven't been able to find it for months and I want go play Trails again. Thing is, now I got to look around for my modem and/or router supply. Heh.

Gamers and major publishers seem to have concluded that the PSP market is dead in North America right now, but we niche publishers are still finding plenty of success with it -- and thanks to the Vita's backwards compatibility with most digital PSP titles, I don't see that stopping anytime soon.

See, Zero Evolution has more text than SC, *and* over 20,000 lines of voice-acting... and it requires knowledge of SC and 3rd to fully appreciate.

Somehow, I don't think anything about that equates to "better business decision" right now. From a business standpoint and a sanity standpoint alike, I think I'd take Nayuta over Zero any day.

That's good to hear then. I mean, after people beat SC (assuming it comes out here BEFORE Nayuta - FFvsXIII syndrome right here folks), I think they'd want to take a break from that kind of gameplay to something fresh, and Nayuta would be a better candidate assuming it does have a new setting like what I've read.

    No. No. No.

If you plan on ever playing Zero/Ao, you absolutely do not want to miss 3rd. There are some, in my opinion, extremely important plot things that come up that are EXTREMELY important to the story told in Zero no Kiseki and Ao no Kiseki. 3rd was meant to be a 'bridge' game, afterall, to the Crossbell stories.

There are a lot of things that come up in Zero/Ao that are just never ever simply explained to the player because they were already explained in 3rd. Just because 3rd is a 'sidestory' to the story of FC and SC does it diminish the story's importance in any way.

    Potential Spoilers here*.

For example floofy, some characters who appeared in the 'Doors' in the 3rd show up in Zero/Ao right?

Like several Angisses are mentioned too. Especially a certain armored female...

And remember everyone, the 3rd is floofy's favorite Sora game of the three. (Is it?)
