    Weather

The gal in the clothing store mentioned that the appearance rate for fish is affected by sunny vs. cloudy weather. Has anyone noticed if the various legendaries only appear under certain conditions? Still have a handful of uncommon/rares left before I go after them but it's something I'll definitely make note of.

I haven't experienced any fish coming out more common in certain types of weather (or maybe I'm just not really paying attention to it) and I've played this game for a long time.

Just caught my first Pteraspis (S-rank at 1.05 ft!) and the weather was overcast. I'll keep the hunt on and see what the conditions are when I catch my next legendary.

Also caught a Climiantus in cloudy weather and am gunning for a Bothriolepis right now. I've seen a couple swimming around in sunny weather, but haven't had any cloudy days in the area yet.

That's so strange, maybe you're on to something Gunarm Dyne. Caught my first Climatius in cloudy weather today too.

And here I thought that was one of the easier names to remember and spell. XD

Decided to give up on the Bothriolepis and unlock/catch all of the Special fish. Finishing that up has left me at Dua Ribu so I'm hunting for the Aconthodes before I leave the area. Saw it once at night in clear weather but a stupid unseen catfish nibbled the line first as both were going for it at the same time.

Caught the Aconthodes over the course of three nights (I couldn't see it at all during the day) and it seemed to appear at the same rate regardless of the weather.

After a few days' observation my theory is that the weather affects the appearance rate of fish in general, especially out in the open ocean. I'm barely getting any hits when trolling and tend to fish up a LOT more seaweed and driftwood.

No sun at night? Would that be the same as cloudy (i.e. NOT sunny?). I am after Rolfo at Sembilian and cloudy weather may be better for me on this one. I have had a few sunny days where I have caught none. I am after my S!
