Figured I'd start a topic for previews of the game, beginning with 1up.com's extremely favorable first look:

I always get kind of leery about a preview done based off 45 minutes of a game that's some 80 hours long but it's always good to see a non-RPG journalist outfit liking an RPG. Stoked about the game's release, just need it on PSN to throw my money at it!
1UP's previews are one of the worst available, they're always short and they rarely describe the game itself.
Ugh, I hate when people judge a game from less than an hour of playing it! You need at LEAST 3-5 hours for a decent preview.
At the least I think I get the monster system a bit more and why you referred to the game as "like Persona" before Tom. And at least they didn't refer to the monster system as "Pokemon like" in the review, hate that when people jump to that instead of the older references.
Find myself asking one thing now that I should have asked before though... you "Unchain" the monsters? What were they chained to and why to need Unchaining? Clunea maybe?
It's... kind of a metaphorical chaining. They were chained to their anger and confusion, and you're freeing them of that and guiding them to... erm... your revenge plan.
...Yeeeeeah... Best not to think too hard about it! Heheheheh...

Here's a rather glowing preview from Destructoid:

so, who are going to be reviewing this title?btw, tom are the gaming sites such as rpgamer and rpgfan going to get an "early" version of the game or will they have to wait like everyone else for the game official launch date? just curious here of course![]()
That's not necessarily true. If they have the proper means of playing a master rom, they're free to ask us for one, and we'll (most likely) be happy to provide it. I actually know of at least one publication that's done this, in fact.
