Haha, if only. In the world of Unchained Blades, fledgling from every race take on a humanoid form. So, everyone, Medusa, Golem, Lizard, Dragon, Phoenix, etc. all look human-ish at birth. They're considered adults when they fledge; that is, take on the form of their particular race. It's a pretty central part of the story. Fang is renowned as the Dragon Emperor because of his ruthlessness and power, but is stripped of that when he's forced into his weakened child form. Tiana, another character, doesn't want to fledge into a Phoenix, but rather a dragon, because spoilerspoilerspoiler. Hector, the Golem, has long since fledged, but he hates his bulky body so much that he actually wants to be a child again. That sort of thing.

I'm with you on this one But hey, we'll see...

Tom, do you plan to release UnchainBlades in Europe ? No answer in the other thread...

Edit : Nevermind, I saw it in another thread (and not the one where I was asking ).

I've heard that there aren't a lot of spoken dialogue lines anyway so at the end of the day it's all about reading the text. As it should be

Major story scenes are all voiced... but they're also separated by HOURS AND HOURS OF DUNGEON-CRAWLING. So you should be fine.

Think of it as a game with about as much voiced dialogue as Ys: The Oath in Felghana... except the game is 80 hours long, as opposed to Oath's 10-15 hours.

(The voices really are a lot better than you're assuming, though. Once you hear them in context, I really think you'll agree. Fang, in particular, is FANTASTIC in his role!)

I really liked the voice acting, for the most part in Oath. The only voice that I didn't handle too well was "Mams". I actually wouldn't have minded more from everyone else though.

HOURS AND HOURS OF DUNGEON-CRAWLING - That's pretty much what I'm signing up for

It actually costs more for them to keep the license for the japanese voices, usually. Those japanese voice actors are pretty spendy. And it'd cost even more for dual audio.

Most people would rather play a game with english voice acting, anyway. I for one usually prefer dubs.

Going to make a comment here: you get what you pay for.

I personally always prefer Japanese voice acting in Japanese games, especially those with 2D artwork.
