I hate XSEED for the TitS project killing me for three solid months.

No joke. Eight-hours a day for my day job, then eight more hours (sometimes more) at my computer desk to work on translation. Holy schlamoly. It was enough to make you go, "BACON" a lot. But the end result is worth it. Jess made it easier, even if I did occasionally drive her nuts. She rocks.

    You poor, poor man.

Unrelated question - Is your website dead forever? Or did you just jump over to he-who-will-not-be-named's website?

Well your work is very much appreciated. I'm absolutely loving the game so far, and can't wait till this damn semester is done so I can spend more time playing it!

Which website are we speaking of? I have made several in the past. The Legacy of Ys page? I have no current plans to restore it, though I'm not opposed to the idea. I'm just not willing to maintain it any longer.

That's the one. I still have the source files and everything. I just have no current plans for anything to do with them.

Is the website still live? I don't have my bookmarks on this machine... If it isn't, I can provide a place for you to host the data from that page, and not worry about the maintenance part. :D

So your the person responsible for translating Trails In The Sky huh? well, thanks alot for making it possible to play this great game and understanding it, i don't read Japanese, so the idea of importing a copy never appealed to me very much, but thanks to the english translation, i'm quite enjoying the game

But please don't hate XSEED, i want them to bring the rest of the trilogy to the US and i somehow doubt that hating them will help :P

Well, Deuce was ONE of the people responsible for translating Trails in the Sky. If he were the only one, I'm quite certain he'd be dead. (: There were three translators (one being Deuce) and two editors (me and Jess) on the project. And even that was, sadly, far too few people for a project of this size.

We're all very grateful to Deuce for his help, though, and for all the sacrifices he made to help us get this translation done on time. This is not a project for the faint of heart, and everybody really stepped up to the plate and gave it their all, Deuce included.

So yeah... sorry for almost killing you, man, but thanks for almost dying for us.

    -Tom

So, in the end, what was the word count on the localized Trails script?
