I'm not hoping it to be compatible day-one, but as soon as possible, hopefully.

According to people commenting on the PS blog, it can't even be transferred to the Vita through a PS3 and I can confirm that my Vita won't let me download it through my download history after purchasing it through the PSP store. It's sad that new releases won't get the priority they should get in Sony's verification process.

If Hakuoki and Gungnir are of any indication, the wait for the compatibility will be long...

XSEED is actually a big contributor to my love for the PSP as well and Ys, Brave Story: New Traveler and TitS are some of my all-time favourite games.

Still would love to play Unchained Blades on dat 5'' OLED though.
I really like the PSP, but when I bought the Vita, I had already lent my PSP 3000 out, and after that I gave my PSP Go to my nephew... The person borrowing my 3000 never returned it, so Vita's the only way for me to play PSP games now. Subscribing to this thread in the hopes that someone will post about it working once it does.

After a long call with Sony about Unchained Blades and the Vita, I was told it is "supposed" to be compatible. When I explained I have bought it, downloaded on PS3, and tried to transfer from PS3 to Vita with no luck, I was told that I could have the money refunded or wait until the store was updated saying it was compatible. So do not lose hope. If you bought the game and want your money back, I would suggest calling Sony, and being very polite and not threatening or cursing or calling them names, and explain the situation. Be prepared to have them walk you through lots of different steps to figure out the issue. But like I said I was given the option to get my money refunded. My response was I would wait for until Wednesday, since they said the store is updated on Tuesdays. If by then the game would not work I would be calling for the refund order. The lady who helped me said that was fine and put it in my account information. So there you go. You can get the money back, or just wait because they are stating it is Vita compatible.

I don't think it'll be compatible as early as this week, but if you can hold out a little longer, it sounds like they ARE working on it. Don't give up the ship just yet! It would be way too sad to see people getting refunds because of this.

I am by no means calling for everyone to go and get refunds. But that for those who don't want to wait that there is an option. And it does appear that Sony expects the game to be vita compatible at some point. And as far as I could tell they were surprised that it wasn't.

I'm sure we'll get 99% of the PSP digital library to be compatible with the PS Vita sooner or later, it's just a matter of time.

It's not even Tuesday, but at least 2 other PSP games have been made to be transferred from the PS3 to the Vita just today. (Both Gungnir and Susume Tactics work now for the Vita.)

Can someone who has purchased Unchained Blades try it out and let me know if it works too? If so, I'll be $30 poorer this weekend...
