Hmm, then I guess it just comes down to personal preference, though the dual screen bit the 3DS has sounds a bit more convenient.

Though I was already leaning towards the 3DS version anyways, since buying it would show Nintendo that there is support for this method out there. Not to mention opening the door of possibility for more 3DS games that might be too expensive or risky to go physical with.

I don't have a 3DS yet, so I'll probably dl for the PSP.

I've never been a huge 3d dungeon crawler fan, in fact, I mainly shy away from them. But this game has piqued my interest, love Lunar and Grandia and the game looks fun. Also with Xseed doing the translation, I'm on board.

Anyone know how long a typical playthrough is?

    REALLY FREAKING LONG. (:

No, seriously. We've estimated the average playthrough at about 60 hours... and honestly, that may be a conservative estimate.

Huh, sounds as long as a playthrough of Trails, imo.

The biggest selling point for the PSP version is TV out. It might be convenient to have a map on its own screen but I much prefer being able to play on a big TV screen instead. :P Besides, anyone who's been doing dungeon crawlers for a while might scoff at the idea of needing an in-game map anyway (which is a bit hardcore for me but whatever people want). I like how the versions are more or less the same so the players can go with whichever platform they happen to prefer (or own).

Good point, Ryos! I do love me some TV-out. I just wish Vita had that feature too.

I prefer my PSP but will probably go with the 3DS version on this one. Having a map handy on the second screen is something I would definitely want in a 3D dungeon crawler. I'm too old and senile to memorize those kinds of maps anymore. Plus even limited use of 3D would be cool for a 3D dungeon crawler.

No specific date just yet -- all we've said is "this spring." QA is still finishing up for the game, so we can't give a date yet since we're still unsure as to when *exactly* it might be ready.
