It's good to hear Falcom is looking into the PSN issues with SC.

Seems they're concerned that's it's their only PSP game not on PSN.
Wow, I never thought that would be an option. I'd given up hope on a PSP version, but if we are able to get the psp version over we can get those extras. Either way, I hope I get to play it in some form, hope things work out.

My personal guess is that there's definitely something being looked into with it. Whatever it is, I have no clue. I can't even begin to guess. I just know that either we may see it on PSN sometime, or we may see another iteration of the original trilogy in some shape or form.

I think it was last year's Game Informer article with Toshihiro Kondo when he stated that Falcom doesn't want to leave us hanging on that cliffhanger, though.

It wouldn't surprise me if Falcom does something about "the PSN situation" in some form or another. Remember, at this point SC is the only Kiseki game not available on the PSN in Japan... which is bad since it's really the pivotal title from the original trilogy. You don't really need to have played FC to jump into the Crossbell games (and arguably, you can even jump straight to SC and not be totally lost) and Third has a lot of neat backstory but isn't essential to understanding what's going on, at least for Zero no Kiseki... but SC really is the proper core of the Trails in the Sky story. And as things stand right now, Playstation Vita owners have literally no way of playing the game. If Falcom intends to stick to the handheld, that will be A Problem going forward and I would imagine they're keen on rectifying it.

Yeah, in fact, Falcom's tweet was in response to a PSVita owner inquiring on SC not being on PSN so it seems that some want to play it on that handheld.

Given the time table, they're probably not working with Sony to patch the firmware to make it work like that homebrew thing. It's probably all Falcom. So I'd guess they're either looking into adding save points to every disc swap cue (so you can save, quit, then load the other ISO) or if there isn't a size limit for PSP games on PSN, just lump the whole thing together so there's no swapping at all like the PC version.

Don't really see what other options they would have. I'd actually guess the latter is more likely because the save-quit-load would be really messy, and I can't imagine why there would be arbitrary filesize limits for PSP games since PSN already supports bigger games than SC (the only question is, does the PSP?). It also seems to fit more with their "about a year" time table, unless they have one person that would be fixing it as a side project.

You can get Type-0 from PSN and it's playable on PSP. So it's no matter of filesize. Well, my Hiragan is ready and now to Katakana... it's a long and frustrating way but I'm sure I'll play JP versions long before the English ones ^^; Luckily I have support and don't get lost on my way

Type-0 is split into two different files. Actually Falcoms answer to that tweet if you read it on floofy's article , actually implies size is the issue.
