heads up,it seems some people dont want you to have any civil liberties left because there is another bill like sopa that would destroy internet freedom and stifle creativity

With some of this stuff, I have to wonder how much is their heart being in the right place with a lack of understanding, and how much is lobbyists writing up legislation and passing it over to congressmen.

I feel like it's more of the latter.

I think we're gonna keep seeing these for a long time, sadly. I think the Internet is the last bastion of free, unfiltered media and I personally believe a nation of informed citizens is a nation that can induce change, so I feel we have to defend our last source of unfiltered media with utmost priority.

Guild Wars 2: CelestialBlade.5107 (Stormbluff Isle)
Phantasy Star Online 2: CelestialBlade (Ship 02)

*sigh* Seems like someone really wants to control everything.

    I want to find it,
So I may never feel alone.

I still having this feeling that in the future, there really WILL be such thing as "the internet police". But I don't just mean for stuff like copyright laws, I mean that they'd be specialized for real crime as well.

the thing is that they dont need new laws and regulations regarding internet safety/spying because they are already doing it.

OT is too busy arguing about who the sexiest Disney character is to be concerned with such things.

In South Korea, there is no internet anonymity. You need to enter a government-issued ID number every time you post a comment or register an account anywhere. Anything online can be immediately traced by the police to a name, photo and address.

It's only a matter of time before the world works this way.

the thing is that the executive promised the same with the NDAA and he signed in to law when it came to his desk.so,sometimes is one thing what he says and other what he does
