Users are able to rate threads, it seems. On the bar bellow the thread title, there are some pull down menus, one of which is Rate This Thread. I guess that is all it is. :3

Oh, so that's how that works. Doesn't seem good for much atm without the ability to sort by thread rating though.
That's a setting that can be done in vBulletin but they've opted not to use that here. It's probably for the best.
Don't think there's a way to do that short of a mod. I tend to just ignore thread ratings myself since they don't really mean anything other than someone arbitrarily throws some kind of rating on a thread.
