Updates on SC?

I hate for my first post here to be pessimistic but saw from another forum that the translation progress of SC was only about 20% done ?
Im not asking for a figure but if the 20% is true then we we might have to wait till Mid-2013 for it to come out

Tom said in another post that they don't ever give percentages on how far they are on a project. Where was this other board's source that it is 20% done? I'm going to call BS on it, from what I know of XSEED's usual methods.

We've actually never released any indication as to our progress percentage thus far, and until the project is close enough to complete that we're able to estimate a release window, we feel it would be best not to give out false hopes like that. As I mentioned in another topic, we could be 80% done, but that last 20% might be a lot more difficult to work with, or we might be swamped with other projects, causing it to take as long as the first 80% to finish. Conversely, we could be 20% done but manage to bang through the remaining 80% in no time at all due to a lull in our release schedule (which I'll tell you right now is not the case! Heheheh).

Either way, the 20% figure you heard was completely fabricated by someone. It did not come from us -- in actuality, I couldn't even give you a percentage if I wanted to, as we're basically focusing on the work in front of us, without looking ahead at the mountains of work that still remain, if only for the sake of our own sanity. It would be like standing on a ledge 100 stories up, and deciding to look down. It's just not advisable, you know?

Yes i think so too. I know I shouldn't be believe random figures on the internetz but atm I'm kinda obsessed with series so I'm taking everything that's thrown at me.
It was from siliconera on the articles about zero for vita in the comments section.

Yeah, I'm with floofy here on this one, they go on about 20% BS without any evidence whatsoever and XSeed doesn't give out how far they are as I already asked.

Looking at that comment which according to disqus was posted 14 hours ago. Tom's percentage scenario was posted on 04-25-2012 PST.

A possible reason is that he could have seen Tom's post and from that make the 20% deduction due to confusion.

Yeah, I suppose I should've phrased that a bit better. My intent, of course, was to create a hypothetical situation in which to explain why we've elected NOT to give percentages... but especially since we have so many fans who aren't native speakers of English, I really need to start being a bit more clear in my statements, I think.

Some people on NeoGAF are saying they're prepared to fan translate SC/3rd if XSeed fails to get them out. That's reassuring.
