Smile Rest of the games on Steam?

I think only Ys Felghana is on Steam now, right?
Does XSEED intend to put the other Ys games (I&II and seven) on Steam? I'd love that.

Origin is getting released sometime "soon." Seven doesn't have a PC version (or at least one that counts) and there's not really a modern version of I & II on PC, or at least a good one. They could probably fix up Complete if they wanted to.

Ark of Napishtim would probably come before either of those.

    Unhappy

Oh. Ys Seven in PC is getting released in China this June so I was hoping xseed would have it too. Or buy the license off from them or something.

I can't understand Japanese at all, so I can't play Zero no Kiseki either. The Korean localizing company for Falcom is caught in a court case like forever so xseed is my last hope I guess I'll have to re-play Felghana for now...

Yeah, Xseed is probably the last hope for the Legend of Heroes since it's said that other english companies back offed when they saw the size of the scripts.

It might take a long time but hopefully one day we might get to play Lloyd and Co.

    Btw, you can read Korean?

That Chinese company did ports of Falcom games in the past. They're not held in good regard.

I completely disagree with this one. Ys I & II Complete is an awesome game and modern enough what did you mean by that? Did you mean Ys Complete doesn't always work that well with modern PCs? Yeah, I guess they could fix that, and thats one more reason to want Complete released on Steam

I meant the backport of Chronicles wasn't very good. It's Falcom's "current" version of the game, and it's worse than Complete is pretty much every way aside from having new content (music, interface, portraits, anything else?).

Still, I'm not sure how well Complete works on modern PCs/Win7. And isn't it limited to 800x600 resolution with no windowed mode? I'd imagine there would be a lot of complaints about that given the number of people who complained about widescreen support in Oath.

Yeah, I don't think it would make any sense to release Chronicles version of Ys I & II, as it is probably worst PC version of the game. Chronicles only wins Complete on modern PC support and a couple of better music tracks, but aside from those it is all win for Complete. So I think there would be a lot of complaints about Chronicles if they released it instead of Complete. Sure, releasing Complete without fixing those issues first wouldn't be wise either. But I hope they ll fix all of them and release Complete version of Ys I & II

It works about as well as most of the old games, color issues, flickering, codec issues.. I don't know about resolution and windowed mode, I have always played it on fullscreen :d
