Corpse Party PC-98 English Translation RELEASED!

And it's time! Today marks the 16th Anniversary of CORPSE PARTY's original Japanese release. Us here at Memories of Fear want to celebrate this occasion by releasing the English translation of the game that started it all, CORPSE PARTY for the PC-9801! We hope everyone here enjoys it, we worked very hard and enjoyed translating, editing and bug-fixing this wonderful little game.

Kira and I are working hard on CORPSE-PARTY ZERO, and we’re trying to strive to make this fan game the best possible. We’re fixing any bugs we come across, we removed any unused objects thus making the file size more manageable, ensuring the dialogue is consistent with the original PC-98 version, and now we would like your help on this matter.



There are two bulletin boards in the hallways of the Kisaragi Academy Senior High in the present in CORPSE-PARTY ZERO that do not have any text to them. We feel this is inconsistent with the bulletin boards in the original CORPSE-PARTY that had the school’s newspaper written on them. So we are hoping that you guys could help us fill them in with some text.

However they need to follow these specific guidelines:

• Messages should be no longer than one to two text boxes. Each text box consists of three lines of dialogue.
• Messages should have proper spelling, we will not accept any meme or deliberate misspellings.
• Messages cannot have profanity or vulgar language in it.
• Messages must be related to the Corpse Party universe.
• Kira and I have the right to refuse any message we feel is unnecessary for the game.

Since there are two bulletin boards, that means Kira will choose his favorite entry and I will choose my favorite entry. Also you guys will be credited in the game under “Special Thanks” for your winning entries. You guys have until July 4th, 2012 to submit your messages! You can either send a comment here with your message, e-mail it to memoriesoffear@gmail.com, or you can PM it to either enigmaopoeia or ZeikTheGeek.

Regarding the two bulletin boards; are they bulletin boards before they are or during they are trapped in the school? I don't really know the story for Corpse-Party Zero so I wanted to make sure that I think of messages that are appropriate.

Anyway, sounds cool. Can't believe it would be coming so soon!
