What do I like about the Trails in the Sky eh? Well lets see... The story was insanely well written, and well translated, interesting and fun and the attention to detail that Falcom put into the world and NPCs was astounding. They also did a great job with the side quests making them feel rewarding and fun to do. I found myself actively checking the assignment board after every semi-major story event just to make sure that I didn't miss any quests. The battle system was probably one of my favorite that I've ever played. It had a simple premise but allowed for some really deep strategy if you wanted and I felt that it really rewarded the player for taking the time to understand the mechanics of the battle system and the quartz system, which I thought was also one of the coolest ways to have your party members learn spells that I've seen in a RPG. The music was also top notch. Composed perfectly to evoke just the right emotions for the occasion, my favorite being "A Cat Relaxing in the Sun". That song is so beautiful and peaceful that every time I hear it I just want to lay under a tree and go to sleep. But undoubtedly what I loved most about this game was the amazing characters that Falcom created. Each had their own unique and interesting personality and the interactions between them were interesting, funny, heartwarming, and, sometimes, heartbreaking, I especially loved the development between Joshua and Estelle, I'm a sucker for a good love story. I haven't played a game with characters that were this good and that I cared this much about since Atlus's "Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4", which is my current favorite game, Trails in the Sky being second. So what did I like about this game? Like The Enigma said, everything. I loved everything about this game and honestly I've had to really try and hold myself back from putting it back in my PSP and going through the game a second time, mainly because I don't have the time right now to put 50 more hours into that game. If I had to pick something that I didn't like it's the cliffhanger at the end and that's only because the wait for SC is killing me now.
