    Well, it`s the whole ideal of 'do you wish you never knew, and went on believing what you thought you knew?' I'm just surprised they bothered dubbing it at all, and decided to hide all the bad stuff under the rug... That's censorship for you, but this is... a different case...

    Events should not be ignored just because they are in the past, but I get what you mean, and was thinking that shortly after posting.

    Meh, I am just really depressed and disgusted by this. It hits really close to home for me.

    Yeah I'm a cat lover and just... ugh... WHY?? At least in Homeward Bound everyone knew it was fake. The footage in this though... you just can't fake that That's what bothers me the most... What also bugs me is the The Adventures of Chatran (the original title) ending theme song is on Youtube and it's... a sweet song... Like any other ending to an anime movie...

    That almost makes it feel even worse. I just can not believe that my favourite childhood movie (well, one of) was originally made by such a monster...

    And yet in Japan, it won the Popularity Award for Most Popular Film... I really don't think viewers in Japan thought those shots were real... Especially from such a cat-loving nation.

    Yeah, I am certain that they thought they were real. A whole nation can not be that callous.

    Ignorance is bliss. Is anyone happier from learning about this? There are some things in this world you're just better off not knowing. And I'm sure Japan is more active in prevention of cruelty towards animals these days, so something like this is unlikely to happen again
