Ideas for a future sequel to Fishing Resort

This is truly a comprehensive game but in playing for over 250 hours one thing was missing for me....

    Fly Fishing!

Maybe an add-on could be released because, unless we have many many extra ideas, it would not warrant a whole new game.

What features or additions would you like to see for Fishing Resort?

I didn't get to play it since I don't have a Wii, but does the original have any story elements? I'd like to see the old River King (sorta rpg meets fishing game) franchise become something nice like Fishing Resort.
Currently Playing: Fire Emblem: Awakening, Digimon Adventure, Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed

Games Beaten in 2013: 9: Retro Game Challenge, Corpse Party 2U, Code of Princess, Dark Souls, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Atelier Meruru, Yakuza: Dead Souls, Liberation Maiden, Dr Who: The Eternity Clock

I MISS RIVER KING. But sadly, this title has, as far as I can see, much less story than RK in exchange for more freedom.

I'd love a sequel as well, with the aforementioned story segments perhaps, or just more characters and stuff, plus the fly fishing. Oh, what about ice fishing too?! :P

To be honest, I thought ice fishing was pretty pathetic in this game. Yeah, I know they included it, but it seemed like not much thought was given to it and they kind of included it just for the sake of it being in the game.

    Great ideas

I think extra story would take away from actual fishing, but a few 'cut scenes' might be good as they cold tell some extra story. I suppose RPG would also bring in a different audience for the game too.
Yeah, the ice fishing is quite poor in comparison. But it does have multiplayer. That I would like to see in the rest of the game (or it's add-on/sequel).

    I suppose so. : (

I think what I'd really like personally, would be something similar to Harvest Moon or Rune Factory, except its main focus would be fishing. : )

You need to explain what you mean - I don't know those games. Remember - I am addicted to FISHING RESORT!

Harvest Moon: object of the game is to maintain a farm over a period of time, tending the crops and livestock through the seasons, while befriending the nearby townsfolk and, in some games, getting married.

Rune Factory is a spinoff of Harvest Moon where you can also fight monsters in addition to all the farming, fishing, and gathering stuff you can do.

Edit: So, its going a bit off topic (sorry!), but I'd like to see a game like that, but where the main focus would be fishing instead of farming.

You can kinda interact with folks in Fishing Resort. Maybe that should be developed a little more. Also the Aquarium is just a series of things to look at. Maybe that would be developed too.
There - did that bring us back to topic?

I think definately fly fishing, more developed ice fishing, and a few other things. Add some new fish species that are not currently in the game, but can be caught in real life. For example, Black Crappie would be new to the game. If there is a new aquarium in the sequal, let some of the driftwood and sea weed go in the tank until you start to upgrade that tank. You caught plenty of the driftwood and other trash in the first one, they should let you double up on it. Maybe make the bait choices more realistic like regular nightcrawlers and large nightcrawlers, minnows, gizzard shard, fake worms, fake grubs, etc.
