I just finished Trails in the Sky.

So yeah. I'm new to this forum. I just wanted to finish the game before I start posting. Haha. X) Is there going to be a physical release of SC? Because I've been reading some posts here regarding that problem. :/ I hope that there would still be a PSP release.

    I'm glad you liked it.

This kinda speaks to a more general context, but I'm surprised for the large demand of physical releases... I find digital ones quite convenient (than again, shelf space is an issue in my room as well, I'm not much of a "collector" of things either).

I wish I'd known I was going to like the game SOOO much when I bought it. Other wise instead of DD I would have gotten the premium edition! > maybe if I'm loaded with cash someday I'll double dip and get the Premium Edition! But as of now, I regret it so much!!!

Kirbs also has a good question too, I was wondering in comparison to FC and SC, how long is the script for 3rd? Or zero and Ao? Some people just want SC but I really hope we can get the other ones too!

Well, its still up on airs. However, at this point, judging from Tom's posts in regards to the future of Xseed and SC's release, it pretty much leads to DD-only release. But yeah we haven't gotten any details yet.

The more people that like it the better. I suggest learning moonrunes as a fail-safe...

Hey welcome to the club. Glad you enjoyed FC.

As far as release goes.....well hell we don't even have a remote time-frame, much less the platform it is going to be on. All signs point to Digital release on PSN and/or in tandem with Steam hopefully.

I suppose a DD release will suffice. Are there any news regarding the localization of SC? The wait is killing me already. Ugh. -___-

Its killing me too...but theres absolutely no new news. Gotta be patient. That or import and try to play with the half-baked translation guide that exists or...learn japanese.

If you can, support XSeeds steam releases, because if we are gonna see Trails SC its most likely gonna be there after an FC release. Once we see FC release on Steam, we are home free to be hopeful again.

That's... not really true. In fact that seems very unlikely at this point given the issues involved. I don't think anyone is going to put down the money to make it happen, and even though I wouldn't bite on the PSP version myself (certainly not over a PC version) I do wish it would get worked out just for those who refuse to play it on PC for whatever reason.

Not really, it's still a long way away (probably next year).

All we really know is that 1) they're working on it, 2) it's still a long way off due to the size of the script, and 3) it's probably going to be released on Steam due to the issues involved with the PSP version.

Yeah. The script. I heard it is twice longer as the FC. And, what is this Steam you speak of? Sorry, I'm a noob about these things. Hahaha. I do hope that the long wait would be worth it. I'm dying to know what's going to happen to Estelle and Joshua...

Steam is a digital distribution service for PC games. Basically you own the games digitally, its kind of like how PSN works. There is a steam faq in the Video Games board over here, that can help you get started but really...its just download steam, install it, go through the store, find games you like, buy, and play them. The only difference is that you have to play them through steam, as in you have to have it run it (and for some games be connected to your steam account via the internet).

XSeed released Ys The Oath in Felghana on steam, and they are gonna release Ys Origin soon enough too. I suggest supporting XSeed on those if you like Ys as it will help in bringing Trails FC over to steam, and if that happens that means they will want to work on SC for steam too =]

That kinda makes me wonder....doesn't the PC version of FC and SC have some things missing compared to the PSP versions? Like...was stuff added when they ported the games to PSP?
