    Xanadu Next (Falcom/PC)

    http://www.falcom.com/xanadu_next/index.html

Another Falcom action RPG that was released on PC I hope you guys can look into. It's certainly different from their other games, but that just makes me more interested.

Personally, I'm hoping this, Zwei 2, and the Sora no Kiseki games can all find their way to Steam on top of the Ys games.

I'd like to see it. Would continue with the Japanese version, but I'm stuck due to a bug. Hopefully that would be fixed with this release.

And would Zwei 2 require the first game?

No, you don't need to know a thing about the first Zwei to play Zwei II. There are cameo appearances from Pokkle and Pipiro, the hero and heroine of Zwei 1, but they could just as easily be any other characters -- the fact that they're from the first game is kind of irrelevant. (:

And yeah, I think a lot of you probably know by now how much I love Xanadu Next (and Zwei II, for that matter!). We have no idea what Steam games we'll be releasing after Ys Origin, but I can definitely say I'll be personally pushing for Xanadu Next, as it really is one of Falcom's best games IMHO.

you know whats nice about PC games?

you can still buy them many years later and support the developer with your purchase.

That's sorta half true. When you buy a game, you're giving money to whoever owns the rights to those games. So you can either be giving money to devs directly,or to publishers who have long closed the developers down.

Still,PC games are probably one of the only platforms where games can have really long legs.

true, but it shows theres still interest in the series.

which can (emphases on CAN) revive long dead franchises.
