Yeah, I probably should have bothered to look at the existing threads. Still, my question remains valid.
I hate to do this, Slur... but I'm calling that strike one.
Stop antagonizing other users. I will ban you if I have to.
Not all, but very likely most. We've been telling people this was coming for a long time now... and, well... it's here. Sorry!Should I take this as an inadvertent confirmation that XSeed is phasing out physical releases from all future titles after Last Story?

Nothing to do but let Rome burn, huh? Your European buddies Rising Star seems perfectly okay to continue with physical releases, even after moving into the US, but business is business.
At least manage a box release of Ys: Celceta. Give it a quality limited edition, go out with a bang.
Rising Star =/ XSEED.
Interesting implication and comparison you got there since its so negative.

That word doesn't mean what you think it means. "Professionalism" does not involve banning somebody just because they say something you don't like.
On topic, I do find it a little worrisome that there are so many digital releases coming out. I can understand some of them, but some make me scratch my head and wonder what's going on, like WotS4. I trust that XSEED has valid reasons when they don't do a physical release, but even if it's not possible to make physical releases of these particular games, it feels like working on them is taking away from resources that could be used to do physical releases of other games.
Granted, I'll keep supporting XSEED when I can, but I don't have a Vita or a 3DS, so I may not even be able to pick up games that I'd be otherwise interested in. (I'm not planning to get a Vita any time soon, and I'll hold off on a 3DS until Nintendo releases a new revision of it, because I learned my lesson from the GBA/GBASP/GBAMicro/DS/DSLite/DSi/DSiXL).
I think it's safe to say that XSeed's current financial situation is quite dire, regardless of how much Wyrdwad tries to gloss things over.
Wyrdwad's said that the decision to go DD-only for Corpse Party was due to a lack of funds.
Also, remarks like "this could put us out of business if it's a physical release." From just one game? Things must be really bad.
