XSEED publishing Way of the Samurai 4 in the US

It was previously only announced for Europe (Rising Star Games I think) but apparently XSEED are bringing it to the US!

    Definitely picking it up.

Hahaha, that ridiculously goofy article made me go from a "Meh, maybe if there was nothing else." to a "Day 1! Samurai shenanigans for all!"

I think top hats are ridiculous, so, the more top hats I can kill in this game, the better!

Edit: Will this be Xseed's first PS3 game? If so, congratulations!

So at first I was seriously underwhelmed and could do nothing but think about other announcements I would've liked to hear, but I decided to go and take a look at the press release just to get a better idea of what the game was about.
So uh, you totally sold me on it, Tom. I love open ended games, sandbox stuff, and anything with character customization, so I will be following this. Thanks for the awesome write up!

    Can't say I'm surprised, but I can't say I'm pleased either. I didn't get WotS 3 and I won't get the fourth game.

For those of you who havent played Way of the Samurai 1-3, I highly recommend picking them up and giving them a go if you still have a PS2. Number 3 is on the PS3. They are a great way to kill time, very open ended, lots of sidequests, and usually 10-50 endings based on what you do in the game.

#3 hold a special place in my heart for being one of the quickest games you can beat ever.

    Start Game
    Skip Cutscene 1
    Skip Cutscene 2
    Open Menu
    Leave Town
    The End

And you get a trophy for doing it too =)

I'd like to point out that Rising Star is giving this a physical release in Europe.

If I had a PS3, I'd probably import it instead of buying from XSeed.

Well, I'll be picking up the XSEED-flavored WotS, as I am fans of their work and I'm already going to support Rising Star with their release of Akai Katana. Lovely people over there for doing it!

Are the prior games in the series cheap or a bit hard to find and expensive? o:

Gotta say I would have preferred Akiba's Trip but this is rather nice as well. Is there a Way of the Samurai 4 thread already?
Hope will never die because in our times of despair, hope is the warmth that we all have that we can share. No matter how much life seems to hurt, stand up and never give up. Fight it and come back VICTORIOUS!!!

Whenever our souls feel in pain. We intertwine and make a miracle. The miracle that is our love.
