And I also catch South Park and Ugly Americans every week if I can.

Of these shows, American Dad is without a doubt my favorite. Definitely one of the more underrated animated shows on TV right now, and consistently funnier than Family Guy or The Simpsons IMHO.

Bob's Burgers ain't bad, though. Probably the best of the non-McFarlane non-Groening animated sitcoms I've seen.

And South Park and Ugly Americans are always a great time. (:

I definitely agree about American Dad. Family Guy stopped being funny shortly after it became un-cancelled. I haven't watched it in years, but I hate pretty much every new episode of it I see. Haven't seen much of American Dad either, but it's always entertaining when I watch it.

I noticed you didn't list Napoleon Dynamite in your list. Did the cartoon already get cancelled? Or was it never on Sundays to begin with? (Or do you just not watch it? )

Haven't watched South Park in a couple years either, but I love that show. Actually, now that I think about it, I really only watch one hour of TV a week, which I guess is a good thing.

Watching Adventure Time and Avatar Korra. I also watch reruns of the Boondocks when I get time (which is never).

    Brain is the best!
I think I used to have a crush on Penny, when I was a kid, LOL. Ah cartoon crushes... I'm sure we all had one of those at some point of our childhood. XD

EDIT: Did anyone like this cartoon, back in the day?

I want to watch this show again. D:

If there were no (developer/publisher) to complain about, we would need to invent it.

Three nights running now I've had the most unusually disturbing dream,
where I'm a 19th century french painter with a pallet and paint brush and beret and an ill fitting black suit
where I'm painting perfectly rectangular white lines on an endless snaking desert where people are yelling at me
    "You missed a spot"

Don't know if it was cancelled, but the "first season" ended, at least, so it's not currently on TV. It was replaced by the second season of Bob's Burgers, reclaiming its 8:30 Sunday slot after like... a year of being off the air. FOX is kind of fickle that way.

It was an OK show. Definitely better than some of the other shows to fill that slot, but not as good as Bob's Burgers. I can't even remember the name of the show before Napoleon Dynamite, but it was soooooo awful... I really hope it doesn't ever continue. (:

Also, have you seen any of The Cleveland Show? I was really hesitant to watch it, as it seemed like a cheap cash-in in every way... but in all honesty, it's not bad! It's not as good as Family Guy once was, but it's much better than Family Guy is now.

I found both to be a cheap cash-in on effortless and witless humor. Then again, I expect to find some deeper meaning in everything.

    That, and I can't stand McFarlane's politics.

Yeah, McFarlane shows aren't meant to be deep in any way. And I agree about his politics -- though ironically, American Dad remedies a lot of that. Whenever there's political humor in American Dad, it's oddly nonpartisan. Since Stan Smith is basically the ULTRA SUPER MEGA REPUBLICAN and his daughter Haley is basically the ULTRA SUPER MEGA DEMOCRAT, they're both pretty much constantly spewing the most over-the-top, unrealistic political rhetoric you can imagine, and it balances out quite nicely into the realm of "no specific political agenda, just making fun of politics in general."

When it comes to thought-provoking American cartoons, the best are probably Futurama (where's the new season of that, anyway?) and, oddly, South Park. South Park is blunt as a hammer, but its humor is soooo timely and clever, and really does an incredible job of satirizing modern American society.
