Xseed you should do a Kickstarter for corpse party physical/retail release.

And started thinking why cant xseed do a kickstarter to release corpse party as a physical retail release? Id donate because I would love to play corpse party but my refusal to purchase digital products prevents me from doing so.

Im sure its not cheap but if word gets out this could be done. Im sure if you guys offered to port both corpse party 1 and 2 into a single retail release you could get the kickstarter funds to do so.

So please guys, consider it.

It'd be cool and all but I don't think it's going to happen.

Also, the one you linked to isn't really a very good example. They're about a fifth of the way through their kickstarter's schedule and have only acquired a tenth of the funds they need. It's unfortunate, but they're going to fail by quite a bit. It seems like a lot of people nowadays think that "kickstarter" means "free, guaranteed money"...

While the linked one's going to fail, I think the idea is a sound one if it's set up realistically. It isn't the free, guaranteed money so much as it's a free hope of acquiring extra money. Set up a goal that would cover the costs of breaking even and give it a shot...if nothing happens, well, you tried. There is the whole possibility of the Japanese licensor losing face though when the Kickstarter fails, which is probably another reason why it hasn't really been tried on the localization side of the fence. It's the only realistic method I can see of a lot of titles getting physical releases because it's not like the market's there for the titles chosen to be digital only.
