Menu Glitch

I'm hoping that perhaps some one else has come across this problem and there is some kind of easy fix for it, because a glitch has appeared in my game that makes it pretty much unplayable.

Certain menus in the game refuse to highlight any item or dialogue choice other than whatever is on top of the menu. If I try to go down to the second option in the menu, it immediately goes back to the top option. If I go 'up' (so that the last option in the menu is selected), it will scroll up extremely quickly until the top option is once again highlighted.

I searched the internet and could not find anything else on this glitch. I did not do anything out of the ordinary that I recall during recent start ups or playing the game. I have tried restarting the game, my system, my controller... nothing is working, though I'm pretty sure the glitch has to do with the game itself since this only seems to happen when I am in a specific location in the town (Inn, Guild, ect) and NOT when I am in a dungeon or when I am in town but NOT in a specific location.

Due to this glitch I can no longer sell items or make certain dialogue choices, among other things, effectively locking my game. The effected menus are:

Inn:

-Character inventory menus when I try to put something in my 'Warehouse'.

-'Item Collection' menu in my 'Album'

-'Front Desk' chat options with Maria


Item Shop:

-Any inventory menu under 'Buy' or 'Sell' of either my characters or Ironhand

-'Counter' chat options with Ironhand


Temple:

-'Alter' chat options with Samantha


Guild:

- The 'Quest Board'

-'Counter' chat options with Buzz


Palace:

-'Report' chat options


Any help or insight would be appreciated as I have put a lot of time into this game (mid-thirties level party, completed all 10 floors of DoT and all except B10F of Shiin's, ect) and it would suck if i ended up having to stop playing due to this. Thanks.

???? Are you experiencing this in any of your other games? It sounds more like a controller issue than anything else and in playing the game for 150 hours or so, I sure don't recall ever seeing this happen.

Update... literally minutes after posting this, I was showing my wife the glitch and the menus magically started working again.

All I did was go into the 'Item Shop' and show her how my characters inventory menu wasn't working. Then I pressed R1 to go to Ironhand's inventory and when I scrolled through his inventory the menu started working all of a sudden. I then pressed L1 to go back to my characters inventory and now his menu is working to. To be sure I went back into all the previously effected menus and everything seems to be fine.

So that was kind of weird, but if by chance this happens to happen to anyone else in the future, I guess you should try what I did with Ironhand and see if the game corrects itself... or maybe try to show some one else that it isn't working so it will magically start working again. :P

I will post again if the problem comes back...

I didn't try any of my other games to see if it was the controller itself. As I said it was only specific menus that were not working. I figured if it was the controller than ALL the menus would be effected.

But it SEEMS to be working fine now for whatever reason, and I will post again if it comes back. For now I'm just happy to get back to Sam weapon grinding again.
