Then why won't you just hold of buying those systems? Are the majority of people not aware that money is power?

Still looking for Kid Icarus Cards! If you got any that you don't want anymore, they'll get some awsome love!
(Thank you Terro (biiiig thanks!), Dusty and Ivy :-)
The new eight generation consoles don't look promising at all. The handhelds on the other hands look amazing. I'd rather stick with my PSVita and my little brother's 3DS instead of this. I'm neutral with DD games but seriously I don't want this to be the future of all games.
Hope will never die because in our times of despair, hope is the warmth that we all have that we can share. No matter how much life seems to hurt, stand up and never give up. Fight it and come back VICTORIOUS!!!
Whenever our souls feel in pain. We intertwine and make a miracle. The miracle that is our love.

They could make up the difference in higher hardware (this is why the Go was and is so much more expensive than the standard PSP) and accessory margins. Can also pull more of the "Vita memory card trick" and require accessories that aren't included in the box with obscene margins for retailers.
They'll fight, they'll complain, but if it's still going to be profitable for them they aren't going to refuse to carry the product completely.
Registering a game to one system is ridiculous. Hey look, I just got an awesome new game that I want to bring to a friend's house to show them how awesome it is! Oh, wait... I generally don't buy used games, but almost completely taking away the ability to play them is just ridiculous.
What bothers me even more than that, though, is how you supposedly can't play games if you're not connected to the internet. Crap, my internet crashed. At least I can still play this single player game I payed $60 ($70?) for. Oh, wait...
Also, I said this in the other topic, but I feel it deserves repeating here. Why is it that game companies think used games will destroy the gaming industry? Libraries and used bookstores didn't destroy the publishing industry. Rental places didn't destroy the movie industry. Used electronics stores didn't destroy the music and movie industries. So why are used games any different?
These threads and posts are so pointless. Things change so much that unless you know it's concrete you're better off not saying anything. These Kotaku posts are just for hits. I could make a post on one of my blogs saying I know of a Vita Phone that has 10 analog sticks, and a 5D screen.
I remember the pre-3DS reveal hype where it was supposed to be some godly super powered handheld and what we got was an underpowered Gamecube in an uncomfortable design.

Exactly. Rumors don`t equal fact, but apparently alot of people on the internets decide if they want one or not from some rumorAll I know is that if it`s not announced at E3 (which it won`t, because they already said the new PS won`t be at E3) there`s NO WAY it would pop up next year and then get released within a few months... 2013 is out of the question.
It is just rumor, but iunno what's the problem with discussing what the future possibly holds? It's not like you're going to lose a bet if you're wrong or anything...
As for that article,I've read it (ugh...kotaku),and there's a pair of things I found interesting:
-The switch from a PowerPC based CPU to a x86 one. This puts it really close to the PC architecturally, and makes it both easier to code and port from/to PCs.This has the unfortunate caveat that NO CODE from the PS3 will work on it without a full recompile.Nothing.Nada.Zilch.So the fact that they say they aren't even going to bother with backward compatibility,it's not that they don't want to,it's that they CAN'T without a LOT of resources spent on it.So you'll have to keep your PS3 around to play with the stuff you purchased for it.
Oh,and the x86 is supposedly cheaper than the PPC chip, but I dunno how true that is...
-The Online activation. You can still purchase physical disks (unlike what the OP'd stated),but you'll have to activate them on PSN. Basically the same thing steamworks games do. The intention is incredibly clear though. If this rumor is true, then the Used market is marked for death. This poison has already been effectively applied to PC (it was supposedly for "Piracy",but funny how the PC used market was the one to die...), and consoles will get it too,if publishers have their way.
Oh,and this hardware is gonna already be severely outdated in 2013.That's par for the course for consoles though...
