Would anyone be interested to ever see Falcom create an SRPG LoH game similar to say, Final Fantasy Tactics or Disgaea?

Maybe. The thing is that Ys Strategy was a flop, so even if something sounds good doesn't mean it'd turn out well. This series could be turned into a pretty decent little strategy game, though something without LoH's walls of text would feel...I dunno, out of place.
...Isn't Trails in the Sky a tactics game?
When it comes to combat, but I'm talking something more on the line of Disgaea, for instance. In other words, where the action mainly takes place on a large battlefield without most or any of the exploration elements. You can still have a story and dialogue in between, which is what Disgaea does.
Ys Strategy doesn't even sound good though, and it wasn't even a Falcom game.
Not really sure how I feel about this, I mean, it's already got SRPG-lite elements in the battle system. Just depends on how it's handled I guess.
Well, it wouldn't be that different from the franchise itself.
Considering the gameplay, I'd love something like that. I prefer strategy RPGs than turn-based storytelling rpgs. I prefer 30 great battles than thousands of "press x" battles.
I don't think they needed to use tons of characters to make a great game with a great story. Could be something like Valkyria Chronicles, or even Disgaea. The stories are rich, and the gameplay was rich too.
I'm sure Falcom could do a great job tying a good story with good gameplay. If it is in Legend of Heroes universe, better.
I'm the guy who voted no. (: To me, Trails is all about talking to NPCs, exploring the countryside doing side-quests, etc. If you suddenly shift that focus toward combat, it would no longer be the Trails I know and love. It might be an OK game... but I'd probably never play it.
I'd be more inclined to see a Trails game released that went in the opposite direction, actually: eliminate combat altogether, and basically make it an RPG-like visual novel akin to Corpse Party.

I lost my whole reply thanks to my junk Internet connection. So, let me try this again.... *le sigh*
Edit: Also remembered I said in my lost reply that I had heard of and seen some of Corpse Party but was not aware it was like you had mentioned.
Anyways, hope I can repeat this but I was going to say I am not a fan of SRPG games myself. I can, however, see why it wouldn't be impossible for there to be a "tactics" Kiseki game.
1) Final Fantasy may be the most popular JRPG series which primarily focuses on RPG elements - i.e. questing, dungeons, etc. However, it has had one or two incarnations of SRPGs in the form of the Tactics series.
2) While it is not canon and is also a crossover game, we do have Y's vs Sora no Kiseki which is primarily a combat game.
Anyways, I would just like to say that I could care less either way, but I am first and foremost a fan of RPGs. I've only really liked one SRPG and that was X-Com: UFO Defense. My preferences are long walks in labyrinthine dungeons, running around cities, exploring the countryside, etc. I dare anyone to post that last part in a classifieds section. LOL!

I love that idea. Maybe you can suggest it to Falcom![]()
PS: Calling Corpse Party an RPG is a bit too much. I have played hundreds of RPGs and if Corpse Party is indeed one, it has to be one of the poorest examples out there. Do you truly believe that it is an RPG or are you just saying it as part of a marketing ploy? We all know that RPGs tend to sell better that Adventure games. Please be honest.
