Nah its basically a whole new character set in a time one thousand years into the past. The only returning character would have been the old guy that spoke with a Bristish accent. I don't remember his name. It basically tells the story of how the incorruptus came to be. How the malignant evil came for it. Basically the same old story except this time your avatar is the main character. I could keep going but from here it would be spoilers though I doubt any of us will ever export the game here. Basically your avatar fell into a kinda sleep for all those years while he battled the Big Bad and won but had to stay behind to save everyone else. Basically the avatar with Leonard and the others is an active observer making sure nothing bad happens again.

Hmm..I might import it since the PSP doesn't have any region lock and its already in english. I've heard about it but I didn't think the story connected like you explained. What I did hear though, was that the gameplay was phenomenally bad.

The being connected part was the thing I spoiled and yeah the gameplay is rather bad.

And that random "I am an important character" close up right at the last boss which was also incredibly anti-climatic. Oh well, I praise this game for its gameplay anyway.

I'm kind of dumbfounded that you enjoyed the first one more than this one since this basically has the same exact gameplay only vastly improved in terms of speed (the circle took forever to fill up in the first one), unless you're talking more about it sucking in terms of story, in which I can agree, WKC2 felt like a ton of filler to give a reason for Yulie to get the Moon Maiden and the three insignia idea also feels not only cliche but just...badly written and don't even get me started on Kara. At least there is one decent surprise in who killed the king of Balandor. I also hate the fact that Leonard is missing for like, almost that whole second half of the game (and is not even available for the final boss). At least the first one (while still being kinda badly written) had...I dunno...more interesting events I suppose.
i enjoyed the first because it was the first game and i kind of forgave lvl-5 for all its faults because of that.also, i had access to the online portion to the game while in the sequel they wanted me to pay 10 bucks to access the online...for the 6hrs that i played the game i expected the game play to be better but no it was the same old same old plus the grinding felt onerous and stale this time around ....and the story...well, just as soon as i got that tome i said,no way i'm dumping this garbage asap and thats what i did...i think that level-5 should have come with a better game play and story and i would be definitely singing another tune right now

Ehh? You had to pay for the online? I didn't have to pay anything at all.

yes, if you are either renting the game or loaned from a friend you have to shell 10 bucks if you wanna access the online part of the game

Can't really get mad at them for that now can you? The game gives you a free online pass for any character you create after you bought the game, you can't really expect the same for rentals or loaned games.

As for gameplay, I can see where you're coming from, but you can't really expect them to overhaul the whole gameplay they had going for that game already. I think what they did was enough, they tweaked the mechanics quite a bit, added a few things in, and made it go faster. WKC2 is mostly an expansion and you should look at it like that since most of the time spent on this game is used in online play. I''ll give you one thing, the initial price (I believe it was $40 or $50?) for something that felt entirely like an expansion it is pretty steep. I like the game a lot though so I didn't mind.
