Thanks for the link Tom, that was a great podcast.
Have you guys ever thought about putting together an XSEED podcast? It could give you guys a forum to talk about the goings on in XSEED land, and build some hype for upcoming releases. Heck you could even do a community spotlight and bring in a twitter/facebook/forum fan once and a while to join in on the discussion.

That sounds awesome, but I don't think we would ever be able to scrounge up enough time for something like that. Sometimes I swear we barely have time to EAT.
It's something to keep in mind, though. Maybe at some point in the future, we'll be a bit less busy and can test-run something like this.

Thanks for the link to the podcast. I just finished it, and now I have a new site to explore. Racketboy is really great, and the podcast was very interesting. I'm jealous of all of the cool Falcom stuff you have Tom.

Posting this here rather than the Felghana thread since it's spoilers, and it's kind of related due to the mention of that cool Ys timeline in the podcast.
So yeah, at least some minor spoilers for Oath in Felghana and Ark of Napishtim, possible general series stuff. Probably been discussed before, but whatever.
What's the relationship between the two Galbalans? Are they not unique, but a species? But the two are like... completely different? I don't exactly remember what Galbalan's relationship with the Ark of Napishtim was either, but I think it was referenced in both games?
Apparently Alma was of the same race as Feena and Reah, but the depiction of Genos seems to show wings too. So was Genos Eldeen too? I never caught that in my PSP playthrough, but I can attribute that to the fact I had only played Ys 1 and 2 at that point, and the lack of detail on screen
It's mentioned Galbalan washed up in Felghana, so that would go along with the Ark. Genos coming from the Canaan Islands around the Ark to find and stop the escaped evil thing (whatever "Galbalan" is) makes sense too I suppose.
Now I'm curious if Ys 4 or 5 tie into any of this at all.
Stuff crossed my mind while playing Oath. Also, lack of a spoiler tag kind of sucks for this.
Edit:
So looking back at story elements from Ark and a quick search has cleared up a lot of things. I forgot about the demi-Galba you fought at the beginning, and the weird eye creatures. Galba-Roa also isn't as different from Galbalan as I remembered, possibly at different stages of their lives?
And this opens the door for a whole mess of Ys lore.
She wasn't kidding when she called Ark of Napishtim the key that made everything come together.
