I'd rather that none of their plots are entirely canon. In an ideal game, each would take a seperate route up the tower and witness entirely different events. D:

but uh yeah Toal's is definitely kinda the canon one, and I like to think that Yunica and Hugo's would interweave, with some things being canon for one and then others canon for another.

I was on Giantbomb earlier and on the forums they were talking about how Chie from Persona 4 got a new voice actor and the new voice actor is Erin Fitzgerald. While I was looking on her facebook fanpage I stumbled upon Hugo Fact under her photo album "My Characters." Is this true? http://on.fb.me/HCnSlj

The Japanese version of the game didn't even have voice acting outside the Flench in the intro video. And I doubt XSEED is going to add VA for the Steam release if they didn't even add their existing VA for Oath to that game.

She could have done the new intro VA, but that wouldn't be Hugo.

You could be right about the new intro VA since she is fluent in french... well at least Canadian french. You might never know though since they have never released Origin here before. They could beef it up, fix the bugs, and justify a higher price point.

I have my doubts but it could happen.

Sorry, but while we did redub the opening French narration, that's not the VA we used, and there is no voice-acting in the game aside from that.

Not sure where or how Erin Fitzgerald would be voicing Hugo Fact, but I'd sure love to hear that as well.

It's a good thing it's being redubbed. I know french myself and the original sounded very... odd. Let's leave it at that.

I really like the sound of the new dub, personally. The VA has a really unique accent -- she was born and grew up in Poland, but studied in France from a young age. As a result, her French is 100% perfect, but with a noticeable foreign accent that gives it a bit of an exotic kick -- which seemed apropos, all things considered. (And yes, we did run it by native French-speakers from multiple countries, so don't worry, it has indeed been given the native speaker seal of approval!)

Maybe someone should remind her Ys Origin has no voice acting.

Or maybe that's just a fan page since it only has 1000 likes
