Dreaming is OK, but the best arrangement in the game IMHO is Tension.

    DISCO TENSION!!

I can honestly say I've never heard a disco-based boss battle theme in any other RPG... and I totally love it.

I also really love the Origin version of Devil's Wind:

If only because they took a 3-second loop from Ys I, and made a whole song out of it. And a good one, at that!

    oh yeah totally forgot about this awesome one maybe because sadly it is played only one time in the whole game ;__;
I unfortunately tend to dislike the music like devil wind that says " it's us the bad guy " but confrontation is quite good
I think we are going to finish this thread publishing the entire tracks existing in the game

sounds good but want a visual on gameplay and aesthetics

music sounds good but i would like to see some gameplay and environments before getting in to the hype train...Wyrdwad said that there are no towns and world in this game.so, i must assume that this is a dungeon crawler, right?also, besides the op are there any other anime cutscenes in the game? :0

Imagine if Oath in Felghana had the boss room of Tigray Quarry DIRECTLY CONNECTED to the entrance of Illburns Ruins, and the boss room of Illburns Ruins DIRECTLY CONNECTED to the entrance of the Elderm Mountains, etc. It's pretty much just like Felghana's dungeons, but without any of the Redmont scenes and with very, very little backtracking (you're always just forging ahead to the next tier, only occasionally taking a moment to teleport back down to the tower entrance to reconvene with the rest of the search party for a story scene, then immediately teleporting back).

One thing I forgot to mention, too (dunno how, but I did!): Ys Origin has, almost unquestionably, the best boss battles in the entire Ys series.

Seriously, the bosses in this game are REALLY FREAKING INTENSE and REALLY FREAKING AWESOME. Just check this out:

    Or this:

And since you asked, here's a bit of regular gameplay in action (in the Silent Sands area, of course, since that has my favorite BGM! Heheheh):

Oh, and yes: There are a handful of anime cutscenes in the game. There's the opening, a dramatic pan around the Tower of Darm shortly after you get started, a story-related FMV late in the game, and then two different ending animations (one for Yunica and Hugo, and another for The Claw). More than Felghana had, but less than Napishtim.

This sounds really good. Does each character have their own storyline, or is their one story where you switch between each person?

Obviously I know that your role is a bit that of a hype man for new Ys releases around here, and I appreciate your enthusiasm.
I am intrigued by the premise of an Ys with a deeper story, but I also seem to remember reading that Origin had a lot recycled levels that the game forces you to replay as different characters. Is that correct?

Also, I have a 360 controller and a wireless adapter, but since the game was done in Japan a while ago, I suppose that it won't support such devices.
Will I need to use some kind of program like Pinnacle Profiler to play with a 360 controller?
Since this is kind of a budget release, I'm not expecting Xseed to add 360 controller support to the international release.
