I think the 2D is a lot of the reason why I liked it as much as I did, but then I loved When They Cry so...yeah. There's just something about the cute character designs dying gruesome deaths formula that appeals to me.

I'm actually reconstructing the first room using the SDK tools on steam if that counts for anything.

Hmm... It would be cool if it did have 3D graphics. It would enhance some more visual horror aspects, scaring us in the eyes, but on the same time it would deter from it's original route with having text and sound horror. This was one of the reasons why I liked Corpse Party. It stood out from many other horror games and from other visual novels.

Not saying that they can't do this. Blood Covered had their charms of keeping the game in 2D while Book of Shadows had a makeover in their design. Personally, I am totally okay with whatever Team GrisGris will do.

I think it'd probably lose a lot of its charm. But then, BoS plays more like a point and click anyways, as opposed to the first game, so who knows.

I reserve my judgements. Good People Die seems to be trying to go this route, and if I recall, the Ever17 remake did something similar too. Sooo... I'll try these titles and then I'll imagine it. However, I wouldn't want the graphics to replace the amazing descriptive storytelling, and it's hard to tell if these elements can coexist. Hopefully GPD will prove/disprove it. ;p

Then I would repeat what Shinji Mikami said :
" Don't wet your pants while playing this ! "

I know that Kosaku Ogawa, the person in charge of program, graphics, and game design; have been fiddling around with the idea of making Corpse Party into 3D as shown on his blog.

So I would imagine it may look something like this, maybe with more polish.
