Dokuro & Picotto Knights (Vita) ♥

Gamearts released one of PlayStation Vita's early fan favorites in Ragnarok Odyssey. But they're not done with the system yet. In addition to patches and download content for Ragnarok, the studio revealed today that it is making at least two additional PlayStation Vita games.

Development team "PonKotz Troops" is developing "Dokuro" for the system. Development team "Team Gajet" is working on an unnamed new project. Both will be published by Gung-Ho.

You can see first teaser footage of the two titles around the 2:40 mark of this clip that Sony released as part of today's PlayStation Vita Game Heaven video series. The rest of the video shows Ragnarok Odyssey's online multipalyer patch.

I can clearly see Gamearts is out on a mission to leave me broke.

I'd think this would have a "Catherine" like impact in the U.S.

Definitely worth the investment and I'd fully support it myself.

I can see it being more like Escape Plan, actually. While you're ugly, the princess won't follow you, but you also can't stay handsome forever.

Dokuro comes out July 5 for 2400 yen retail, and 1800 yen on PSN.

Man, Game Arts must be really desperate. This game will be a huge bomba. ;p

Everyone in the traditional game industry (consoles/dedicated handhelds) is desperate these days, and they're all positioning themselves for a way out. It's not really visible, but a lot of companies are getting HUGELY pressured by investors to migrate to the smartphone/tablet market. Nintendo included.

I'll be surprised if XSeed as we know them stays around for another 5 years. If they're still doing anything after then it'll only be on Steam.

I was just trolling Shizuka after he made the desperate accusation of Acquire.

This game oozes platforming, and platforming went DD-only on this generation. If the retail is that cheap in Japan, chances are it'd be DD-only over here, and I wouldn't complain about that with this specific title, plus it's a brand new IP that's not from their main developers team.
