Optional "premium" items are pretty standard fare for mmo's,really. Don't really like that trading is part of that premium set (unlockable with one cash shop purchase would've been preferable,free would've been ideal),but that's my only beef with the cash shop,really...

Thankfully all those items are not really gamebreaking Pay to win items. That would have been way worse.

You can buy a separate trading permit if you don't want to buy premium. At least I'm pretty sure there was an option for that. 90 days of premium would probably be the best option though since you get the storage as well.

It is possible to rent trading rights separately,but the fact that a basic feature like that is stuck behind a paywall is still pretty awful.Even worse,the feature needs both persons trading to have trading rights to work,so it's pretty useless if you're the only one in a group to pay for it.Still hoping they'll back out of that one...

Speaking of cash shops,apparently the gatchas completion rewards might soon become illegal in Japan.

I think the trading permit is a measure to prevent gold farmers/hackers from getting around as easily. Broomop was already hacking in the CBT like the BACONBACONBACON he is. It would be nice if you could trade anyone after buying a permit, regardless of if they had it but then anyone could trade gold sellers I suppose.

Bumpicus Maximus. Open Beta is slated for "the end of June", with a pre-open beta that is essentially a stress test for better server hardware. If you got into the Closed Beta then you're already registered for the Open Beta; otherwise registration will begin tomorrow.

I guess this gives me plenty of time to play Ys Origin :P

Nope. Pre-Open beta is the one slated for the end of June.Both good news as you've said it gives us enough time to play YS:Origin,but also bad news because...it's one more month until we get to play PSO2 again. Q_Q

They've also released CB stats and surprise surprise,71% of all the characters made were female...

I was pretty pumped to play PSO2 again early next month too, but it's at least good to have an official timeframe.

As for the females, some part of that is probably because female customization is that much better; heard so much disappointment from people making male characters.

Pre-Open Beta will be on the 15th-16th, 6am to 11am ET. They've also released some prices and the AC conversion rate: 1AC = 1JPY = 0.0126USD.

Prices are....certainly steeper than expected, eesh. Not looking forward to $2.52 Gacha attempts. I can't make the Pre-Open Beta until the latter part of Saturday but I might be there, Ship 2 Block 20 on Cocona as always~
