I gave up on finding volumes....4 and 6 I think it was of Blame! sometimes it just seems impossible to find old manga books. at least there's scanlations if you really can't find the damn things....though it sucks when your collection has gaps in it

this is why if there is a manga coming out that I want I try to get it ASAP cause I don't know if it will he hard to find later

That makes sense. There are certain omnibuses I like better than the regular volumes, like Rurouni Kenshin. Those are printed on much higher quality paper than the original releases and even have some color pages. Even though I have the whole series, I've been considering upgrading to the omnibuses. Kenshin is my favorite manga series, and probably the only (or at least one of the few) series I won't eventually get rid of. Although I've seen other omnibuses that are cheaply made compared to the individual volumes.

I kept my Chobits volumes. I liked them better separated, and don't really care for omnibuses as well, lol.

Now, if only I could get my Volume 1 back from my ex... >_>
No, i wish...i live in a pretty shithole city, we didn't even have a Best Buy until about 2 or 3 years ago. I have to travel about an hour or more to get to any such shops and then, i've only "seen" some on the few times i've been that way that i think might be those kinds of shops, might not for all i know

In that case, i guess it could be worth digging more info about particular mangas.

Well, I guess you could always try a seller on Amazon, check the condition they say the book is in, and go by their seller rating. Buy 1 volume as a test, and if its in as good a condition as you wanted, you'd probably be safe buying the rest from them?

Thanks for the advice, i'll try and take it into account. I also found someone on eBay selling all 8 for $50, i don't think that's such a bad deal, although i could probably find them cheaper.

As long as it is good quality, I usually prefer Omnibuses, mostly just because it feels like you are getting more bang for your buck. :3 I wish Lovely Complex would release some Omnibuses; at 10 dollars an issue, I would rather not pay 170 dollars for the entire series.

Robert's Anime Corner Store and Rightstuf are good places to buy online (not sure if they'll have what you're looking for, though, just sayin').

If there were no (developer/publisher) to complain about, we would need to invent it.
