Okay, so these are ordered in the way that I found their turn-based battle systems overall were awesome, not how much I liked the game overall. Although, all of these are games I either really love or simply like.

1) Persona 4
2) Lost Odyssey
3) Shadow Hearts: Covenant
4) Suikoden V
5) Legaia 2
6) Baten Kaitos
7) Xenosaga: Episode I
8) Chrono Cross
9) Final Fantasy X
10) The Last Rebellion

If I could actually thoroughly look at our game collection right now, I might have made the list a little different, but right now all I have is memory so it's probably an imperfect list.

Some people don't like them but I also like the Saga series.

Also, is Final Fantasy XIII-2 really that good? :3 I won Final Fantasy XIII, but have not played it yet... part of me is wondering if I should prepare for playing XIII-2 or not...

Everyone seems to like XIII-2 better than XIII, so if you ever want to play XIII, doing it first would probably be a good idea, if only to decide you don't like it and skip it.
That and it'll make stuff in XIII-2 make sense unless you want to do tons of reading, (as it has plot summary of XIII included), and will probably spoil XIII's plot to you anyway.

Not that I'd call XIII a turn-based game though, as it's probably the fastest version of the ATB system.
