Ratchet & Clank HD Collection incoming?

Seems its been listed by some french retailers:

    http://www.examiner.com/video-game-n...e-release-date

I'm betting it'll probably only have the first three games though given the trend of 3 games per pack in these HD Collections. So no Deadlocked, Size Matters, or Secret Agent Clank unless they make a 2nd pack.

I hope this is true, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if there really is a collection coming out. I've never played a Ratchet and Clank game, but I really want to. This will be great for me if it gets released.

Hahaha I love the forum censor sometimes.

Anyway, I've never understood the love for HD collections. I guess it's good if you've gotten rid of your originals at some point in the past, but for someone like me who keeps their games, there's no way I'd rebuy them just for a slight graphical upgrade.

What do you guys like about them?

That goes double when you have a PC capable of emulation. The only HD collection worth buying as far as I know is SotC/Ico, because there are huge graphical improvements, as well as framerate improvements on SotC. Most of the others are pretty minor, with the biggest change being a resolution bump and maybe 2x AA.

Though the collections are nice when you don't have the original games.

It's nice having all or most of the games in a series in one place, and some people have a thing for trophies/achievements too. Plus its nice if you have an especially large TV where every pixel on a game at PS2 resolution is about the size of a thimble

Ahh yea trophy who.res, forgot about them lol

It's too bad they don't add additional content to the games when upresing them huh? I know I would be really tempted then.

Well Jak and Daxter they added inverted aiming which I guess a lot of people wished were in the originals. Zone of Enders HD Collection is adding in all the extra missions from the 2nd Runners special edition that we never got in english too.

Jak / Ratchet games can't be emulated properly last I checked, so the HD Collections are the only way to play them still other then on a PS2 with the original discs.
