Thanks for putting up your titles digitally on PSN

I saw the hate topic and thought I'd put up some thanks here for releasing everything digitally too. It makes importing titles easier than ever, as opposed to having to wait a week or 3 to get a copy of any title, I can get one within a day usually if I am forward thinking enough to order the PSN card the day before release.

Mind you it took me a while to actually purchase Corpse party this time round... But yes, thanks!

I have Vita instead of PSP, so them having all their PSP titles on PSN is good for me. Plus going digital-only on some allows them to publish more titles (hopefully).

Fully support this mentality as well. I'd rather have the game then no game+boxed set. Besides, super hardcore Japanophiles can grab the boxed sets off PlayAsia if they're really hankering for dolls/ posters/ whatever. Really, this is an easier method of publishing niche titles without the potential risk. Will be grabbing Unchained Blades Rexx!!! (To play on Vita, I'm assuming its compatible).

I wouldn't be suprised to see TiTS follow this pattern. I imagine with 3.5 gig Vita games Sony has recanted on their previous downloadable PSP/ PSV size limits. I don't see a dual UMD game being an issue if its digital.

Keep up the digital JRPG onslaught! Love you guys and gals at XSEED.

I agree. I'll be getting all my future PSP games for Vita anyway.

I do sympathize with people who would strongly prefer physical releases, but I don't agree with the mindset of completely ignoring digital games. Better to get the game digitally rather than not at all.

Size was never the issue here, there's a very different multi-UMD related problem due to the programming and how disc swaps (there are quite a few of them) are handled.

Ah, it was a programming issue, that makes sense. I read that so long ago that it must've faded in my mind:

Squeenix did it with Type-0, but I imagine that was the old-school PSX method with all the FMV's sequentially on their respective discs and planned as such since its inception. Didn't know SC had so much disk swapping.

    But this interview:

makes things sound as if that issue was resolved, as I can't imagine XSEED going boxed only and non-digital with the way the industry is trending.

The unpleasant take-away from that latter interview is that apparently the game didn't sell up to expectations. I wonder how many "fans" pirated the damn thing. Bought mine legit off PSN, but haven't had the hours to clock into it yet. Been playing Gods Eater Burst, which is a surprisingly fun take on the hunting genre.

I'm still kind of holding out for a retail release for Corpse Party, but does anyone know if it has ever gone on sale over PSN?

I agree I was holding out hoping that they may sell it on retail. But it doesn't seem like they're going to. Has anyone heard if there's a chance of it being sold at stores?

You'll be waiting years before corpse party goes on sale.

Corpse Party is 9.99 (PSN EU) iirc. Pretty cheap if you ask me!
