OK, since my last thread was deleted, let 's start another to heat things up. Obviously the board has gotten a little too quiet these days and that doesn't seem very good.

Anyway, I am going to begin this discussion with the following questions :

1. Anyone remember the tape that Yuka was holding when Satoshi and Naomi found her in Chapter 5 ? We never get to watch that tape nor know anything about it after that.
And then. when the three encountered Taguchi, he dropped something and didn't get a chance to return it to him as he ran away. The game never reveal anything about what that is, either.



Notice the unusual title screen of this game... It seems like the title screen started with some static waves like those old TVs back in the days. Tom and some guys at Gamespot have a theory that the tape might be the entire game that we were watching / playing. Interesting, eh ?

2. What exactly happened to Seiko and Taguchi 's bodies anyway ? Where could they have been taken to ?

3. What could have happened to Yoshiki after he decided to come back for Ayumi during one of the bad ends ? Apparently, he was really energetic to look for her, but after a few text messages, Ayumi completely lost contact with him. The next thing we know is that he succumbed to the darkness merely minutes before Satoshi.

4. At the beginning of the game, the ghosts told our characters that they sensed a total of about 9 souls being trapped inside Heavenly Host, including themselves. However, there were also other survivors from Byakugan school, and also Taguchi. Is this a mistranslation or a plot hole ?

That 's all for now. Oh, I didn't put any spoiler warning since the game has been out for quite a while now, and it doesn't seem like any of us would need it.

Tom and some guys at Gamespot have a theory that the tape might be the entire game that we were watching / playing.

That's not actually my theory -- I just thought it was kind of an interesting take. Not one that I personally believe, but a cool theory nonetheless.

At the beginning of the game, the ghosts told our characters that they sensed a total of about 9 souls being trapped inside Heavenly Host, including themselves. However, there were also other survivors from Byakugan school, and also Taguchi. Is this a mistranslation or a plot hole ?

That particular line is meant to identify that there are a total of 9 souls from Kisaragi Academy in the school, not 9 souls altogether.

I think it's supposed to be just some random spirit who was talking to Naomi to make it seems like she was talking to Naomi's mother.
