I perfectly understand what you meant by not bringing SC into the PSP. But why not release FC/SC/TC into steam as well as PSP. That was kind of what I meant from the very beginning. As for switching to Vita, well you got me there, but its not the first time we've seen a series be multiplatform at first and suddenly be platform exclusive. It DID happen with LoH itself after all. Also I am seeing Zero as a clean slate, kinda like how people in japan went from Zero no Kiseki to Sora no Kiseki after liking what they played in Zero. Since Vita is a new console and pirating doesn't exist in it, I am sure Xseed can get something out of that which later might result in a similar outcome to the previous example I stated.
I asked Tom about it a couple of months ago, and he said that XSEED would have considered that opportunity (surely if they will decide to put SC on Steam: and of course they will think with Falcom a way to convert the psp saves of FC for the SC in this case).

I think that Falcom is going to do the same that they're doing with Zero, to release the trilogy in the PS Vita. I have seen that Final Fantasy Type-0 has 2 UMDs but it has been released on the PSN, but knowing that SC was released in 2007 it's hard to release the game on the PSN like Final Fantasy Type-0.
It is not the same as SC. Plus Square-Enix is a lot bigger than Falcom.

Which is a real shame if that is so. At this point, SC and 3rd would be a Vita release which is fine.

Bumping the thread because I figure this is the most appropriate place to ask - can someone explain to me where Zero and Ao stand in relation to FC and SC? I know they're sequels outside Liberl, but how far after SC do they take place?

You need to add 3rd in on that, as well, actually.

This is because 3rd takes place about six months after SC ends. Then Zero begins several months after 3rd, and Ao begins a few months after Zero. Zero takes place from 1203-1204 (FC/SC take place from 1202 to 1203).

When you get to the final battle of Ao, I think it should be probably very late 1204 or early-mid 1205.

This is all very rough estimation, also, so take that into account.
