Nanashi no Game Series (All, any, don't really care)

I'm well aware that some time ago someone recommended Nanashi no Game, but with the addition of an iOS game I figured I'd attempt a revival of the idea by also including some game descriptions. And it'd be kinda neat to see an Xseed game in the App Store.

First, Nanashi no Game, AKA "The 7-Days Game," "The 7-Deaths Game," etc. but for simplicity, I'll refer it to The Nameless Game. The Nameless Game is an interesting sounding DS title where you try to solve the mystery of a cursed game that kills you if you don't beat it in seven days. Separated into two parts, the titular 8-bit game, and the "real world" exploration which is done in first-person segments by holding your DS book-wise and using your stylus to move, I think this might be fun for fans of retro games and genuine survival horror (the "holy crud a zombie I gotta run or hide!" kind of survival horror, not the "WAAAUGH ZOMBIE GOTTA SHOOT IT DEAD" kind that the RE series has spawned via ludicrous numbers of knock-off games.)

I can definitely see this never being released seeing as it was released by 'teh squeenix' so getting the rights would be red tape hell... and it was released a good four years ago... and because of the 3DS... but hey, the 3DS can play original DS games, so no reason why not. And it can't hurt to recommend this and try to get it as a swan song for the original DS, right? And it got good reviews when it was released, too.

Next, the sequel, Nanashi no Game: Me, "The Nameless Game: Eye" The story follows a college anthropology student as he discovers the cursed RPG, as well as a cursed platformer. The game's title refers to the protagonist's left eye, represented by the left screen of the DS when held sideways, which can see supernatural events. According to a Famitsu site, it made it into the top 30 of a game list.

And on a segway, the internal cursed games for this sequel have releases for DSiWare if I recall:

And finally, the most recent game, for the iOS and soon to be Android release, Nanashi no Appli, "The Nameless App"

Partially because I'm a bit bitter the DS games (yes, the first one had a sequel) still haven't made it over yet, I'm requesting it since there's no chance in heck for Square-Enix to directly release it since they didn't release the first DS game due to the opinions of their focus group on the game ("DURRHURR FIRST PERSON IS FOR SHOOTING THINGS DEAD NOT FOR IMMERSION HURRDURR") As with the DS games, I understand there might be some kind of red tape mountain to get over in order to release this game. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure FPS gamers aren't the target for most iOS games by Squeenix anyway.

Here's a link to a news site for the game's JP release:

Actually, it sounds like there's a good chance one of these games IS getting released in Europe:

If true, I'm excited for it myself, as I'd love to play this game in English. It looks fantastic.

I've also read up about that game because I seem to look for games that scare me and then I found that game. Seems pretty good.
