Just to include the text from the previous Andriasang article discussing the expansion for Ragnarok Odyssey:
Gung-Ho shared details today on Ragnarok Odyssey's first expansion. Titled "Expansion 1: Online Multiplay Update," this is the online play update that developer Gamearts promised during interviews just ahead of the game's release. The update will include online play support, Near functionality, and download content including equipment and quests.
Expansion 1 will be available in mid March.
Gung-Ho also shared preliminary details on the game's second update. This will be released in mid April and will add new stages, new monsters, new quests and more.
This game is starting to look like an MMO...
Constant updates? Kick BACONBACONBACON!!!
It kinda sucks the game wasn't released with online play support, but at least people are gonna get it!
I imagine they had a deadline, but it's good because that way, they'll keep on working with the game even after the release.
At least they're releasing free stuff, unlike some money-grubby Squeenix I know.
Squeenix, and pretty much every other developer/publisher nowadays. I imagine this game will get paid DLC at some point, but it's nice they're giving free stuff first.
Well, I'm sure it'll have paid DLC, but releasing free DLC makes it feel like they're trying to be good publishers, which is nice.
You think if Xssed were to localize it, they'd localize the updates?
They'd probably include them on the retail release, seeing they did that with Solatorobo.
